"A really good breakfast stop. The Utah scones were light and slightly sweet (covered with honey butter)...sort of like a cross between Indian fry bread and a sopapilla with honey. They are the best scones any of us have ever eaten. The pancakes and sausage were way above the norm, and the thick pepper bacon was memorable. Large servings, friendly service, and some great historic WW II pictures displayed inside the entry. Highly recommend. Really easy to find...close to the interstate exit. When we return here, I'm ordering two scones, coffee, and a plate of bacon...the scones are that good."

Aside from the gravy which had waaaaaaayyy too much pepper in it, the food here was absolutely incredible. Fantastically fun family food facility.

I loved the steak and eggs (over easy) with hashbrowns. The steak was juicy and came with a scone but the nice waitress said I could have toast instead. She served it freshly toasted and nicely buttered.

This place is ghetto fabulous, if you like greasy spoon restaurants then this is a place for you. We got the apple fritter and the fried scone. Both were ok but nothing that you need to try. The atmosphere here was very truck stop dinner, with being friendly and warm.

Sill's Cafe is a great place to eat breakfast. Their portions are ample and the service is quick. I had the post office breakfast and it was delicious. The scones and honey butter are amazing but be warned, they are huge. It would be a good idea to share a scone in a group. If you are looking for a good diner breakfast, Sill's is the place.

Sills is a long time Layton Cafe. They are famous for their huge scones with honey butter, breakfasts to order, salads piled high topped with freshly made dressings, sandwiches, burgers, dinner fare and coffee; hot or cold. There is usually a wait to get in on Weekends. I usually call my order in and pick it up. The staff are friendly, attentive and ready to recommend their favorites. You can’t go wrong with Sills!

Straight off: customer service is a 5 out of 5. Our waitress was friendly, personable and seemed happy to be there. The food is ok. Cheeseburger Patti tasted frozen and not fresh, spicy chicken was good with a hint of spice, French toast was very good. Very custard- y tasting. Tator tots was crispy, fries were limp and blah tasting. Scone was very good. Will we back? Yes, simply do to the customer service. Give it a try. We like that it is not a chain, worn and it's personable. Ver carta

I went to Sill’s for my first time and they give a pretty excellent diner experience. The scones are perfect, I would go back just for the scones. The rest of the food was good, but not memorable. We had about a 40 minute wait time and there were many people that ended up leaving because of the wait. I would be sure to come when you’re not in a hurry. You can tell that this place is definitely a local favorite. The staff was also very kind and attentive- 5 star customer service. It was a nice experience.

"Haru Ramen House in Layton, Utah, is a mixed bag in terms of dining experience. Starting with the positives, the appetizers were undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. They were flavorful, well-prepared, and arrived quickly. The gyoza, for instance, had a delightful crispness on the outside with a savory filling, and the takoyaki was a pleasant surprise with its rich flavors and texture. However, the main attraction—the ramen—was a bit of a letdown. While it wasn’t outright bad, it failed to stand out. The broth lacked the depth and richness one would expect from authentic ramen, and the noodles were just average. The toppings were sufficient but didn’t elevate the dish, leaving the overall experience underwhelming. The biggest disappointment, though, was the service. The staff seemed inattentive, and it took a long time to get refills or assistance. The lack of hospitality and care took away from what could have been a more enjoyable meal. It felt as though the staff were either overworked or simply uninterested, which was unfortunate given the potential of the restaurant. Overall, Haru Ramen House has its moments with the appetizers, but the average ramen and poor service make it hard to recommend wholeheartedly. With some improvements in customer service and a bit more attention to the quality of the ramen, this spot could become a much better dining destination.
