Smitty's Better Burger

Passed up this place for years and regretting it now. Absolutely great place with good food and and excellent staff. Customer service was fast even during lunchtime. Definitely a repeat location.

Delicious food! I went based on a recommendation, and I’m so glad I did. The food was fantastic, and the service was fast and efficient, reminiscent of Danny's Hot Dogs in Norfolk. Definitely give it a try!

Love Smitty's burgers. Battered onion rings are a favorite. Flounder dinner. Quality food for a low price. The best burger place in Hampton, VA. My hushpuppy was burnt but still flavorful. Sad that they were burnt and dry. Ver carta

Been here a few times.....today the food wasn't the same. Not sure if someone sees is cooking but the 1/2 chicken dinner the chicken was very very dry. Definitely was overcooked and the fries were fried extra hard. BBQ sandwich was good. The slaw was good. The food is normally good so I'll be back again.

It was our first visit to this restaurant, and we found it to be very affordable, especially considering the quality compared to other nearby places. Our car server, Stephanie, was incredibly friendly and provided us with great information. She assisted us in navigating the menu effectively. The food was fantastic and arrived quickly. Everyone loved it, and all of my kids finished their meals!

The food can be quite good, depending on your selection. I had the chance to eat there when the owner was present, which was a nice experience. The lower prices are a plus, although the chicken sandwich could use some improvement. On the other hand, the burgers and fries are outstanding. I’m sorry to hear that some people have had negative experiences, but honestly, don’t we all have a bad experience at least once wherever we go? Smitty's serves the BEST BETTER BURGER and crinkle fries around. I only wish they would open a location here in Richmond! Keep it up, Smitty's; you’re doing an excellent job! If you find yourself in Hampton or are moving there, definitely check them out—I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Best fast lunch experience ever! It also brings back some great memories. This old-fashioned drive-in offers curb service, which is a nice touch. You have to try the Twirly-Dog – it pairs perfectly with Tater Tots! I've heard great things about the fried chicken as well, so I definitely need to come back and check it out. They said it would take about 20 minutes to prepare if you call ahead. It's just a quick minute from Mercury Blvd to N King St. They serve one of the best burgers around – absolutely delicious! It's a shame they no longer have the food delivery tablets or roller-skating servers from the good old days, though... such a nostalgic part of the experience!

I recently went to Smitty?s for my dinner and I really had a taste for some fried chicken and not kfc or Popeyes. So I decided to go to Smittys. I waited 30 minutes for my food, which wasn't a big deal because I knew it would be so good. I was disappointed when I opened my box. At first they had no hot sauce. That wasn't a big deal because I thought the taste would be so good, I wouldn't need a sauce. Secondly, the chicken looked like it had been immersed 3 or 4 times in a dough, with which I would roast a soft bowl crab. I missed it because I was hoping that it didn't mean it wouldn't be delicious. The chicken was terrible. It tastes like it was cooked 2 days ago and then roasted in the sam... Ver carta
