"This restaurant was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the menu had something for everyone, even the most discerning diners. Our food arrived promptly and was delicious! We ended up dining here multiple times during our visit. I can't wait to return the next time I'm in town! On a side note, the owner was quite charming!"

This restaurant was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the menu had something for everyone, even for the pickiest eaters. The food was served promptly and was absolutely delicious! We dined here several times during our stay. I can’t wait to return next time I'm in town! The owner was also very lovely!

"We enjoyed a fantastic dinner during our stay in Carlton. The prix-fixe dinner featured three courses, but if you share appetizers and dessert, you could easily make it four. At $45 per person, it offered great value for the quality of both the food and service. This same meal would likely cost around $80-90 per person in Portland. While the wine list wasn't extensive, it included a solid selection of quality local and European wines at very reasonable bottle prices. Even if you're not staying in Carlton, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!"

"Initially the planning on going to another restaurant across the street. That restaurant was full that night. Instead, wandered into this place and LOVED IT! It was much more of the calm and friendly atmosphere we were looking for. Great prices and amazing service! Decor of establishment was super cool and had character! Definitely recommend and worth the hour drive we ended up having to make."

"updated I go to this place often fill for breeders now that I have been in town for a while. I love this place honestly, he has a great atmosphere wonderful beer selection and a whole good menu. I have an egg allergy, so I don't eat very often here, but my children love their burgers. A year ago I wrote a negative review because I have an egg allergy and they couldn't promise that my food would be freezing. They don't care about my egg allergy, but they are very friendly and have many other things I like, so I want to update my review to match my experience. I went to this place and expected a big burger in a fun city. Unfortunately, they couldn't tell me what ingredients there were. I have a food allergy and do not know that the content of your food is unacceptable. When I asked that they cook my food in a separate pan, they told me that they would use the same spatula and so on, no matter what I would get cross-contamination. The waitress was flippant and apathetic to my allergies and treated us pretty much like garbage. Overall, the menu was quite lame, the customer service was not existent and I felt like I was a burden instead of an estimated customer. I wouldn't eat here!"

"My sister, the baby and I were having an adventure day driving around and stopped by and saw their menu on the front window and did a quick takeout order because they don't have outside seating and with the baby that is necessary because he's very busy. We enjoyed they're super amazing and delicious truffle fries, the meat and cheese platter that came with fig preserves and a baguette over at the Carlton park across the street, it was a quick enjoyable walk where we had plenty of picnic tables to choose from, lots of freshly cut green grass and the playground to play at when we were done enjoying are meal from The Horse Radish. It was such a wonderful treat and experience!! They have an amazing homemade ranch that is out of this world for dipping those truffle fries in too! Make sure you ask for extra ranch! Typically, I do not eat french fries ever but this was a special occasion and I am willing to break my dietary restrictions to go back and do it all over again!!"

"I was looking for a coffee shop on Monday afternoon and I found this lovely place in Carlton. The Americano and the homemade cinnamon roll bread pudding were really great, but even better was the owner, Jenny. They were near closing time and nobody else was in the store, so we struck up a conversation. She shared some information about the historical pictures displayed around the shop. This place is definitely worth a stop for great coffee and homemade baked goods. And if it's not too busy maybe you can have a chat with Jenny too!"
