"I can’t believe how long I’ve overlooked this place. Sri Balaji is a total hole in the wall, a rare find amongst the lack of food diversity in Utah. My first visit here was phenomenal! This place tops all Indian restaurants in the valley. You can tell how fresh and authentic their food is. Everything was flavorful and had just the right amount of spice. The portions are massive. They make the best dosa I’ve ever had. The dishes are presented with sophistication and simplicity. The restaurant has a pragmatic atmosphere. Their staff members are kind, sociable, and incredibly helpful. Even though I’m a meat lover, this place will definitely have me coming back for more.Vegetarian options: Nothing on the menu has meat in it.Dietary restrictions: Most of the items are GLUTEN FREE!"

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and serves authentic South Indian cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed the masala dosa and Mumbai dosa. My children had the Nutella dosa and absolutely loved it. The prices are reasonable and it is the only dosa place in Salt Lake City. They offer vegan and vegetarian options as well.

If you are not already a pro on southern Indian food, this is the perfect place to go if you feel stuck in a rut and need to try something different. This place specializes in southern Indian food and has a lot of options. The staff is super friendly and patient with us when we didn't know what we were doing. A lot of great food.

Very good South indian vegetarian restaurant in valley with wide variety of dosa, uthappam and many more south indian dishes.Weekend thali is a good try. With curries, poori paratha , rice , sambar, rasam and sweet.Have been visiting this place from couple of years now and the taste is consistent throughout except chutney. They could improve chutney.

The spices are on point! Let me say that again, the spices are better than most! This place makes their food with love as the magic ingredient. Taste is perfect, love everything about this place. Plenty of food at $15 and a salad that’s pretty dang good as well. If you like bland American Indian food, this is not the place for you. If you like authentic and laters that fill your entire pallet, it’s worth 15 bucks. Ver carta

Really enjoyed the fact that I could get vegetarian and vegan food here....and that is was good! The only issue I had was that I didn't understand the menu very well and the person behind the counter wasn't able to explain it very clearly to me. He did make a recommendation and I went with it. Luckily, I enjoyed it all (it was a sampler option they had on the menu). The prices were reasonable.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian AND vegan!

This Indian restaurant stands out from others in the area. I ordered the combination plate to try a variety of dishes and it was quite enjoyable. I would give it an 8 out of 10 rating. The medium spice level was just right for me. The food leans more towards snacks and sweets. I will definitely be returning to try the Masala drink. The staff is shy but friendly, and they are patient with customers who are new to South Jordan's cuisine.

I had been going to this place ever since it opened. The owner and original cooks and staff were world class. I have eaten Indian food all over the world, including India, and this place was right up there with the best of them. The problem is that they often lose their chefs to other cities recruiting them, and often the food quality suffers and sometimes gets better). When they have top chefs this place is amazing, but when they don't the quality suffers. Ver carta

This South Indian vegetarian restaurant is truly authentic. I am so grateful for the opportunity to dine here. During our visit to SLC, we were pleasantly surprised to find food that tasted just like home. Every aspect of this place was fantastic. My only suggestion would be to move the bins to the front, making it easier for customers to return dishes after their meal. If this restaurant were to open in my hometown of Portland, OR, I would definitely visit 3-4 times a week.

The people at this restaurant were amazing! I can't find the words to describe how friendly they were, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Even though I ordered something different, I mentioned to the ladies that I was craving poori and they gave it to me for free. They also provided extra sambhar and chutneys, which was a pleasant surprise. The food was incredible and the staff were extremely nice. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Salt Lake City. I'm not local, just passing through, but I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant.

"I had an exceptional dining experience at Happy Lamb Hot Pot in Murray—possibly the best service I've encountered at a restaurant this year! The customer service was outstanding; it's evident that this establishment is well-managed. We visited on a busy Friday night, and despite the large groups ahead of us, we were seated promptly in about 40 minutes. It was a nice touch that they offered snack crackers for customers while we waited. Our waiter was attentive, taking our orders for meat and broth right away and checking in on us regularly. We left feeling completely satisfied! The buffet was well-stocked and clean, with highlights among the hot foods being the pig trotters, sesame chicken (the sauce was a mystery, but it was delicious), and the kimchi/cucumber salad, along with the stir-fried udon. The drink options were also a hit, particularly the milk tea which our table thoroughly enjoyed. The vegetables and hot pot ingredients were incredibly fresh and well-prepared. Our favorite meats for the hot pot were the pork belly and garlic beef, while the iron steak didn't impress us as much. One personal note: I wished they had used fewer goji berries in the broths; by the end of the meal, they all tasted too much like herbal tonics, which, while healthy, wasn't the best flavor with the meats. The atmosphere was relaxed and modern, perfect for conversation, and we appreciated the complimentary ice cream at the end of the meal. Overall, I would definitely return!
