"As response to the below comment that westwind and Fabio are amazing. Is completely untrue! I was a customer that day and witnessed the owner yelling at children for taking apples off of the tree. The children were around 5 or 6 years old and are unable to read signs. You might want to reevaluate an apple tree in the middle of the establishment. I saw the interaction between the owner and the mother and it was uncalled for. The absurd thing this all happens on a their first day of their kid friendly Sunday event. And to be honest their were no employees that asked those children to stop as I had a daughter their with a group of her friends that were sitting at the table next to the tree. They did not hear or see anyone approach them. I am a local customer and having been going their for years with my children and will not be going there again. On another note the manager Hannah K. that responded to review did not even see what transpired and came out after the fact so please going forward you should be honest and respectful to your customers."

"The food at this restaurant is good, with a typical diner menu. The portions are a little smaller, which can be a good thing, and the prices are great. The atmosphere is family-friendly, with lots of locals, some even in pajamas. There is plenty of parking available, and the food came out quickly and hot. However, the waitress was not very good, which is why I am only giving it 4 stars. She seemed overwhelmed and flustered during a rush, didn't check on us after we ordered, never refreshed our coffee, messed up my wife's order and couldn't be caught to correct it. We had to chase her down and even then, she didn't fix it right away. Despite this, the food was still good and the prices reasonable, so we would consider returning."

"I adore everything about Saunderskill Farm Market—the soups, sandwiches, salads, cakes, donuts, jams, fresh produce, home decor, and the warm, welcoming staff. Whether you choose to dine in or take your food to go, every item is made with fresh ingredients sourced directly from the farm. I’d even think about moving closer just to shop there more often!"

"This place never has the appropriate amount of staff to operate. Hence if you waste your time traveling all the way from NYC ... you will likely be greeted with the following: never any dry wood for fires never any wood available for fires on perfectly dry days you'll likely need to eat inside to get food which is counter intuitive for a space that has so much land the staff is always overwhelmed and makes decisions on their own to stop serving food to people who sit in the patio area the kitchen is always backed up so make sure you order everything you want at once. Overall, if you want more consistent and predictable service I would recommend going to Westwind Orchard five minutes down the same road."

"We were upstate for the weekend and were truly looking forward to our dinner at Inness. The resort was clearly busy with a wedding taking place and upon arrival to the restaurant, we were told that we would need to wait 10 minutes for our table. We agreed and had not problem with the wait so we proceeded to the bar to order a cocktail. While waiting we saw two other parties that arrived after us be seated and after 30 minutes, we checked back in with the host. The host said they had been dealing with things and we then waited another 10 minutes for a table to clear before we were seated. Our server didn 't know menu items and wasn 't able to get clarity or details. And, several of us used the bathroom while there and asked twice to have the towels in the bathroom restocked which never was completed. We ended up taking our napkins to the bathroom to use as towels. At the end of the evening we gave feedback to the host who we learned was also the GM and the response was the team is new and I knew this would be a tough night as the doors opened, thank you for the feedback, have a good night. It is clear that the restaurant at Inness needs better management to manage seatings (minimize wait as they are able), train staff (don 't put staff in situations they are not trained to manage), maintain the restaurant throughout the evening (restock bathroom towels) and handle customer service. As we walked out of the restaurant the host/general manager scurried by us with their bag and waved goodnight. Really disappointing and as a result, I would never recommend going to this restaurant. Read reviews on the hotel where you will find a slew of insights on the restaurant. I wish we would have done that before our visit."
