Sushi Gari has arrived in Fort Lee, and while it's on the pricey side, the quality of the food justifies the expense. You truly get what you pay for with every dish.

Very intimate and heartwarming omakase experience! Husband and I went for a small celebration, and the owner put a candle on our dessert, it was really cute. Other than that, customer service was top notch and so was the fish. Ver carta

The sushi and sashimi here are outstanding, along with a variety of other delicious and expertly prepared Japanese dishes and condiments. We're thrilled to have found this spot as a delivery option and look forward to visiting in person soon.

However, there were a few downsides. I wished there had been a written menu to help clarify the dishes, as it would have made understanding easier for those facing a language barrier. Additionally, the experience would have been enhanced by using high-end reusable chopsticks instead of the inexpensive wooden ones typically provided with takeout orders. I also found the portion of soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger insufficient; we only received them during the first course and they were taken away afterwards, leaving us without any for the remaining 15 courses.

The sushi is outstanding, showcasing impeccably fresh fish. The bluefin tuna was the best I've ever tasted, and there was a remarkable type of Japanese white fish that was a delightful surprise. The uni was spectacular, and the toro was exceptional. The sashimi appetizer was the best I’ve experienced. However, there were a few downsides. Some of the sushi, like fluke, mackerel, and sea bass, while all exceptionally prepared, weren’t particularly memorable. For $150, I expected more top-tier selections. The appetizers were good, but they didn’t stand out. Overall, it’s a wonderful experience, but just be aware that not everything might be as extraordinary as the top offerings. Ver carta
