Sushi Kuchi - Carta

Forgot to take more pictures this time but we love Sushi Kuchi! We highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some good sushi! Last night’s fish wasn’t 5 stars though, gonna be honest. The fish tasted a bit off. Still giving it 4 stars because service is great and the fried rolls were delicious. Star Wars and the Vegas roll is always yummy!!! ?

I've been to multiple Sushi Kuchi restaurants in the area and this is by far the best one! My wife and I always come back to this one and it's worth the wait. The food is very fresh and flavorful as opposed to the others which were mostly stale and dull. They are very generous with the amount and their ingredients and it really feels like you got what you paid for and more.

This restaurant is simply delightful! The service was impressively fast. We tried the veggie tempura, a caterpillar roll, a Star Wars roll, and some assorted nigiri. The tempura was just what we wanted—crispy and with a fantastic variety. The rolls were also delicious, but the nigiri stood out as truly remarkable. It's definitely now one of my favorites. We were just visiting in the area and thought we could use a sushi that night. Food came out as expected. Almost all food we ordered came out great Yellowtail girll was the queen but took longer than I thought. It came out after my tummy was half-way full. Carpacio was great. Baked scallop was okay, it's impressive display with ? tho. Definitely a great service and ambience. Friendly servers.

The half-price promotion doesn't seem much different from the usual prices, so it doesn't feel like a great bargain. The service has been hit or miss; I've had to request everything, including basic items like wasabi and ginger, which are only given on demand. Moreover, they added a 20% tip for our group of six without informing us beforehand. However, the food was excellent—I would give it a perfect 5 out of 5.

A must try sushi spot in the Carlsbad area! We came here for dinner on a weeknight and it was still buzzing with activity! The menu has a wide variety of options there’s half price sushi rolls, some unique sushi rolls and the usual teriyaki bowls etc. The jalapeño stuffed roll was yummy! But I would order it as an app for the table. You can’t eat so much fried sushi by yourself: )They also gave a good collection of sake and beer from Okinawa. I ordered delivery from this restaurant, but one of the rolls was missing from my order. The portion sizes were quite small, and without that item, we didn't have enough food for dinner. I called the restaurant to discuss the issue, but the manager insisted that it was impossible for an item to be missing and refused to take any responsibility. He suggested we come to the restaurant to address the problem, but he still wouldn't clarify what he would do, continuously claiming that no mistake had been made. Frustrated, we decided to give up. I would rate their customer service as zero and will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

We've ordered twice from Sushi Kuchi and it's been really good! There is a nice variety of rolls to choose from and everything tastes very fresh. We found our new spot for Sushi Saturdays!! Room for improvement: The kids working take out are hit and miss when it comes to customer service skills, but it seems like management is trying to work on that. I wish ordering online was a bit easier. I can't seem to get the discount through the Sushi Kuchi website so I end up calling in my order. It would be nice if you could add sauces instead of just getting soy sauce. (We also like that management actually looks at the comments and takes notes)

Regarding the service, the staff is friendly, but I believe the front-of-house team could benefit from additional training. I ordered unagi, but our server forgot to include it on our bill. Being an honest customer, I pointed this out, and they were grateful. However, what should a well-trained restaurant do in such cases? Perhaps offer a complimentary dessert as a kind gesture? Instead, they simply let us leave without any follow-up. While it’s not required, it does raise the question of how often honest customers come by these days. That said, this is a minor issue, but it did affect my rating, bringing it down from 5 stars to 4. Additionally, the ambiance could use some work. The restaur... Ver carta
