Second time at @tamarindtribecanyc and this time for lunch. This is a great place for work meals, especially given that there are many vegetarian options. The food is amazing as usual — definitely fancy than street Indian flavors, and service was really great! Ver carta

Decor: simple (could definitely add little elements to make it interesting) Drinks: cocktails are amazing Food: kebab was great, biryani was too hot and spicy (be a little careful while adding chilly) Overall it’s a good place to go with friends and family. I would recommend it.

I came here for dinner with my fiance. Beautiful space and excellent service. The menu was a little overwhelming but only because everything looked, smelled, and tasted delicious. We got the Tandoori Mixed Grill, malai naan, and the Tikhi Margarita. The food was excellent, the cocktails were alright. Would come again.

Tamarind has a really good ambiance but of no use if you are going with a kid. Were really disappointed that they did not let us dine in the restaurant and had to sit outside because we were there with a 6 yr old. Don’t agree with this policy. Felt we spent such a high price for nothing. Also the food is not that great, especially the Hara Bhara kabab is a waste of money. Ver carta

Had a shocking experience. We arrived early and were told to sit at the bar until our table was ready. I then decided to go to the bathroom. As did my partner. When I came out I was waiting for her when a waiter came over to me and insisted I sit down. I was caught a little off guard but I sat down anyway. My partner was also ushered to our table. (Hair in Food horrible response from Manager). Let me share my bad experience this time. So far, Tamarind used to be my choice of restaurant until my last visit on 10/29/2022. We ordered food and I found hair in Garlic Naan. We called serving guy who called manager. Response from manager- it was not real hair but hair of the brush they use to spead butter on Naan. The meal I recently had at Tamarind was tasteless and overpriced. The portions were so small you needed a magnifying glass to see them. The halibut was dry and flavorless, and the sauce on the lobster was almost nonexistent. In the past, when I went to Tamarind for a meal.
