"The bartender/server/cook was outstanding. We had a group of 15, including many kids, and he handled it all without a hitch. While we waited, we took advantage of the $0.25 PBR drafts, played Foosball and pool, and enjoyed the jukebox. We tried the special Duck Wontons, which were delicious! Most of us opted for the fish fry, while others had pizza. The tartar sauce came from the Blue Bayou, and it's great to see local businesses collaborating like that. The potato salad and coleslaw were both excellent, and the fish was fantastic! My father-in-law chose the walleye basket instead of the usual fish fry, and he said the walleye was as good as it gets outside of a shore lunch. My only suggestion for improvement would be for them to have an additional server. This guy works incredibly hard and does an amazing job. We visit Manitowish Waters once a year, and if I lived here, I would definitely come here every week. Great job, Broken Oar!"

If you're willing to wait 1.5 hours just to get a seat, followed by another 45 minutes to receive your food, then this is the place for you! What a disappointment. They're severely under-staffed... Ver carta

Went here for fish fry. Food was excellent but our waitress was terrible. Older blonde women with an attitude. Could go on and on about her, it was one thing after another with her attitude. Sorry we bothered you lady.

Great place. Jeff really cares about his customers. Usually a nice casual spot to grab a fish fry and a beer (and they have a few good ones on tap), but on some nights (New Years eve, 4th of July) they throw awesome parties with live music.

This restaurant exceeded all my expectations for a Northwoods dive! The service was warm and welcoming, the jukebox was fantastic, and the patrons were friendly. Plus, they served cold beer and truly embodied the Northwoods vibe. You can't judge a place... Ver carta

This is arguably one of the top spots for fish fry in the north woods. The meal is served family-style, accompanied by a variety of sides that cater to everyone's tastes, and the tartar sauce from Blue Bayou is simply the best! While the ambiance may not be remarkable, the service is great, and the food is outstanding.

Came here with my family for Friday fish fry after reading (and hearing) numerous good reviews, and we were not disappointed. I ordered the all you can eat fried haddock and selected the coleslaw, french fries and baked beans for my sides. The fish came out a short time later and was lightly battered and well seasoned. The sides were all outstanding, homemade and delicious as was the tartar sauce. The baked beans were a stand out, with some hints of bbq and smokey goodness. My companions tried the garlic mashed potatoes and potato salad and enjoyed both as well. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was that of an old time Wisconsin eatery. We had a grea...

"Every time I am at the cabin we visit! Been visiting since I can remember and they always have a chefs creation which we love! Love everything on their menu and their view is gorgeous. Love their staff have a mojito they grow their own mint and they are to die for! Also, their salad cart has the best bleu cheese I have ever had and it’s so fun choosing the ingredients. The Cajun Ramulade is the best also we always buy a bottle so we have some for Christmas with crackers or shrimp. They have a unique soup which is chilled Strawberry Rhubarb and we love ordering that every time since no where else have I seen this. Their cook book is amazing to purchase as well. This is a fancy restaurant so we always dress up and love it since we wear flannels and jeans all the time to keep the mosquitoes out. Hoping to have my reception there in 2025 to see Pam my friend and the best staff you will ever meet works there!!! Love love love the memories and the dining experience. Nothing is like this gem! Can’t wait to go in August!!!
