"At last, a restaurant that evokes a sense of nostalgia! Having grown up in the UK, I hadn't found a place that truly feels and tastes like home until now. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of choices and drinks available. The seating is both indoors and outdoors, right on the banks of the Sheboygan River. It’s a well-rounded venue that you absolutely must visit! We ordered the fish and chips, which not only tasted fantastic but also perfectly captured the UK style. The curried coleslaw was a delightful addition!"

So fantastic, my husband had the jambalaya and I had the short rib casserole. So much flavor in everything and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert soooo delicious !! Definitely recommend and will definitely return. Servers were so friendly and nice.

Duke of Devon is always a delicious dining experience from curry fries to their Fish n Chips and beyond we have always had a great meal. Adding to our favorites list are the Brat stickers... a Wisconsin take on potstickers that did not disappoint. Genius idea that was well executed and quite tasty.

It's a very interesting place. The layout and atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy. The Clam Strips were good and tasted like fried calamari. The fish and chips plate was big and delicious. The Winter Escape was my favorite. It was either the bitter or the ginger beer that gave the Winter Escape a light taste.

This is an excellent spot for a delicious meal and drinks on a hot day! The British food and atmosphere are fantastic. My wife and I both tried the specials, and I must say mine was the standout. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The mixology is superb as well. I’m so glad I let random Google suggestions lead me here! Ver carta

I visited the Duke of Devon for cocktails and some delicious food, and it was fantastic! The staff couldn't have been friendlier. We brought our dog along, and they were incredibly courteous and accommodating. The drink menu offered a great variety, and the food options were equally impressive. You have to try the poutine and Brussels sprouts! I can't wait to go back!

finally a place that tastes nostalgic. grew up in Great Britain, I still have a place to find, which until now feels and tastes narrowland. eating was great, a lot of choice and drinks available. sitting in and outside, right at the sheboygan riverfront. well rounded place, they have to go here! we had the fish and chips and it tasted not only great, but was perfectly related to a British style. the cursed koleslawin was a nice note. I’ve been wanting to try The Duke of Devon for a while, and I finally had the opportunity today! The restaurant is spacious, clean, and easy to navigate, featuring a charming British motif. The service was fantastic—everyone was friendly and engaging! The food was outstanding; I had the chicken tikka masala and enjoyed every bite! I have no complaints at all, and I definitely plan to return to The Duke to try something else in the future. I’ve included pictures of the interior and exterior, the menu, and the food!

"This restaurant was one of the first places I visited when I moved back to Wisconsin. I missed my Friday night Fish Fries and my new roommate said this was a popular place. He was definitely right. The place was packed when we got there (no reservations taken) and we ended up waiting about 1/2 hour before being seated. Was the food worth waiting for? YES! Crispy battered fish with a flaky tender middle...I was in fish fry heaven. I believe it came with a potato pancake, applesauce, coleslaw and a slice of rye bread. I ordered the pistachio torte for dessert, and although it was tasty, I was expecting something different. My German background says a torte is layers of cake with filling, but this was just basically pistachio pudding, layered with whipped cream and cake. More like what you might bring to a potluck dinner than a restaurant dessert. Yes, I ate it all, and it was tasty... just not what I expected. The other nice thing about the restaurant is the wide selection of cocktails and beer. Which isn 't surprising, since it is a bar and grill. I had a satisfying dark beer that was perfect with my fish fry. I 've been back several times and although it is always busy, it still is one of my favorite restaurants. But I still can 't figure out why it is called the Scenic Bar ... it 's on a street corner, not by the lake or river. Absolutely nothing scenic about it."

"I chose the Pork Pluma while my wife opted for the lamb. My dish was decent but left something to be desired; it wasn’t hot enough, and honestly, the pork was the highlight. If you can make pork taste like a ribeye, that's impressive! However, the side dish was somewhat underwhelming. To keep it brief, my wife had to request her lamb to be cooked more thoroughly after she was hesitant to speak up—unfortunately, she had a bad experience with it. This moment seemed to change the entire vibe of our visit. Our server went from being relaxed to looking frantic and, dare I say, a bit scared. My wife felt awful about the situation, and I felt even worse when her dish returned and she described it as tasting like plain hamburger over SpaghettiOs. Unfortunately, she was right. Throughout this disappointment, our server remained awkward and timid, rarely approaching us with any updates. His conversations seemed short and lacking enthusiasm. To top it off, he accidentally knocked over the silverware at the neighboring table while picking up our tab. My message to him: Relax. It's not your fault that a dish didn’t meet expectations. We didn’t express our concerns in a way that was intended to blame anyone, but for $120, plus a 25% tip, I believe a chef should aim to impress with every dish, and servers shouldn't feel their night is ruined by a politely made request. Our advice? Remove items from the menu that aren’t up to par. Avoid the lamb, and definitely encourage the servers to promote the cocktails—they were fantastic!"

"My review of Trattoria Stefano: Often, when you return to a place cloaked in fond memories of nostalgia, it lets you down. It's like seeing an old flame thirty years later, and you question the original infatuation. Well, Stefano's stirred my passions as if 15 years meant not a thing. After strolling Sheboygan's beautiful revitalized waterfront, we drove to Stefano's, parking in their rear lot. The restaurant looked the same, and we found two empty seats at the large front room bar. Ashley, behind the bar, was gracious and helpful, and we ordered wine from Stefano's eclectic offerings. While not as groundbreaking as 20 years ago, the wine list is still interesting and has reasonable pricing. We ordered Caesar salad, two pastas, the stuffed veal chop, a sausage dish, and the Tiramisu. The Caesar was fantastic and unique, with a sublime crunchy taste. That alone was worth the price of admission, but the veal chop was a stunning crescendo, maybe the best I ever had. Pastas were as good as I remembered. The ragu was simply delicious. My spouse thought her sausage dish was okay but nothing special. Tiramisu was ordered to go back with us to Milwaukee. Later, the restaurant was so packed on a Tuesday night that Ashley left to help out in the kitchen. Greg aptly took over, and the service did not miss a beat. The one discordant note was when I asked to tip the kitchen staff. Ashley led me to the kitchen, and I passed over a $20.00 and received nary a smile or thank you. Perhaps they were too exhausted. However, it was a wonderful evening, and hopefully, it will be repeated soon. Oh, the pricing was very reasonable."
