The best casual breakfast in the area, just had the maple bacon sandwich and can say you’re not going to find a better one in Gold Coast, especially for that value $10 with tax! . I LOVE IT. Flew in from NY and tried this place recommended in tiktok and family friends, loved the service very nice and the food is amazing!! Really vibrant and great place to stop by for food!Vegetarian options: Took a look at the menu and was happy to see many vegan options, would definitely recommend to friends!

Popped in for a quick lunch before heading to run errands and ended up sitting waiting for my wrap for 30+minutes. Once a few people after me (also who had waited a long time) received their order, I checked in on mine and the lady ran back and it had been sitting out the whole time. Cold and soggy. Keep in mind tons of workers just standing there staring at you. Terrible experience I 'm sorry to say, will not return.

Our graffiti tour of Chicago met at the Goddess and the Grocer on Damen Avenue. This is a cute little café with a wide assortment of drinks and eats. You can eat in or takeout, you can also take away cold food to reheat and get home. The wraps and sandwiches are inventive and delicious. They are made fresh to order, and the hot drinks we had after her to her to warm up from the blustery cold were really delicious. We came here specifically for the Rainbow cake since it was featured on the Best Thing I Ever Ate, and we can see why. Both the cake and icing were delicious it wasn’t overly sweet which we like. The slice was visually appealing with six layers of vibrant colors in purple, red, green, yellow, blue, and orange. The place was cute and charming they also offer other things like sandwiches, coffee, and other baked goods which we didn’t try. Based on what we had, we would definitely recommend the Rainbow Cake.

Love this place and choices of food wine and typically order online, so maybe that is the way to go here. I went in person and was so sad at the service quality. After waiting a while to complete my transaction (bottle of wine from shelf and chicken club sandwich to-go) and then another 25 minutes for my sandwich, someone finally asked what I was waiting for...turns out they never processed my order! Minimum three workers standing there (including one who took my order), not even wondering why I was waiting there.... felt very amateur and was frustrating ?

EDIT the business did provide a full refund without us asking for it for the entire order including what we received and went out of their way to offer many sincere apologies.1. When we went to puck up order, they could not find the order for about one hour, despite us showing them emails, invoice and order numbers, receipts. Finally found order which was now going to arrive late.2. Finally get food- Food order was wrong. All of the sandwiches and actual lunch portion was missing and we only had dessert.
