The Hungry Crab - Carta

Amazing food, great experience! We went to the birthday of our 15-year-old! All were satisfied! The garlic butter bread was to die! The people who gave this place a bad review obviously don't know a good seafood boil!

I'm from Georgia, and this was my first visit here. It was fantastic! You can order your sauce exactly how you like it, whether it's in the bag, out of the bag, mixed together, or served separately. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the lobster, crab, and shrimp were all delicious!

I'm really loving all the options for the crab boil. The people who work are here super friendly and very attentive. One of my favorite places in west Hartford. Don’t waste your money here. Worse seafood I have ever had. Fried scallops absolutely disgusting with no taste no flavor whatsoever and to stop it off it’s the smallest scallops I’ve ever seen, not even half the size of a bay scallop . It’s all batter.Even the Cajun fries had no flavor and they charge extra 1.00 for them.

This is a fake seafood restaurant. The food is completely tasteless. Water tastes better than their food. Their food was clearly kept in the refrigerator for a long time. They'll also pack the hot food in a regular plastic bag. So this is the opportunity to taste plastic also, disgusting right! Don't buy food here. Do not make mistakes.

Food was good. Wish I knew about the combo specials before I left. Staff didn't mentioned it, so basically ordered off the menu. Food came with 2 sausage, but it was actually 2 thinly slice of sausage. Didn't turn out what I thought it to be. I felt they were being too cheap about that... Oh well guess I know beget for next time, if I ever decide to go again. Ver carta

We had to wait a bit before someone came to take our order, likely because they were short-staffed. The man at the bar was also handling our table, which caused some delay. Once the food did arrive, it came out surprisingly fast, but unfortunately, some of the dishes didn’t taste fresh, as if they had been sitting for a while. That said, the fried shrimp basket and the fish po' boy were fantastic! I really enjoyed the chowder, but it was only lukewarm when it was served to me. Overall, it could have been a better experience, but it was still decent.

Have the pleasure of going to the Hungry Crab for the first time. The food was delicious. Have the seafood broiled for 2.The cajun mix was not too spicy. It was very flavorful. They give it to you in a bag and provide gloves so that you can keep your have clean. They do have a bar area off to the side where you can get your alcoholic beverages.It's located in the same shopping plaza around the corner from Rita's Italian Ice. There is ample park and it's right off of New Britain Ave. It is also, handicap accessible as its on a flat.I regret not taking any photos as I was excited to dive into the food. If I could give them zero stars I WOULD!!! I ordered a bag and forgot to ask for no sausage, the waiter came back and I let him know that I was a pescatarian and forgot to ask for no sausage and if I could get a new one. He said ok no problem, 10mins later he came back and said “new bag, no sausage”. I ate a couple pieces and then realized there was one sausage in there. I called him and explained there was a sausage after he informed me he gave me a new bag with no sausage. He immediately took the bag up and said “ok this is our mistake, you dnt pay”.
