The local joint is an awesome quaint spot said in the mountains in Fairview North Carolina the food is very good... it's pretty affordable as well!

AMAZING local gem. Hits all the criteria: friendly service; delicious food; fair prices; clean. Went twice in three days. Check out the pancakes huge, fluffy, tasty. And the local jam!!!

Served a burger tonight that still had the plastic wrapper stuffed in part of it. then the cook got sassy like I was wrong to be grossed out. Perhaps he was drinking too much of the beer they've started serving again. Ver carta

I dined here for the first time and had a pretty good experience. The fries were a bit cold and seemed like they had been made a while ago and kept warm, resulting in a slightly soggy texture. We shared two sandwiches, and while they were tasty, neither of them really stood out. I'm looking forward to returning to sample their breakfast menu next time.

I discovered this restaurant while filling up at my favorite Amoco gas station. The waitress, Shelly, recommended their pot roast, saying I would enjoy it. She couldn't have been more accurate! Their stew is absolutely fantastic (figuratively speaking). I also highly recommend the pulled pork slider; it’s delicious. A big shout-out to another waitress, Miss Ginny!

Once again, I had an excellent meal at this restaurant. I appreciate the all-day breakfast option, but today I tried the Reuben, and it was delicious. The sweet potato fries were spot on as well. The diner atmosphere, along with the friendly waitress service, adds to the experience. I never have to ask for a sweet tea refill because they sneak up and fill it for me without me even noticing! Would you believe me if I told you that this cute quaint diner is located next to a gas station?? Stop in for some piping hot coffee and a delicious breakfast entree ranging from fresh items like fluffy pancakes, loaded omelettes, sandwiches, and B G's! You can also order some lunch items such as a juicy burgers, packed salads, loaded sandwiches, thick wings, tasty quesadillas, and more! This is a fantastic spot to stop at while commuting from Asheville to the mountains trails. You can sit outside on the patio or inside the diner. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

We met up with a friend who told us about this place so we went here to eat. Have to say it's a hole in the wall place that you have no clue what they offer. They have a decent sized menu to pick from too. The restaurant is attached to a gas station, set up kinda like a diner inside. To start we had fried green tomatoes. These were really good. Our friend told us everything is locally sourced as much as they can. They used to serve drinks but because they have the store next door they no longer do. I decided on a hamburger with onion straws. I couldn't eat it all. It was a good size burger along with the onions. We ate outside since our friend had his dogs with him so they could be with us....

I absolutely adore this place and have for years. Set in a inconspicuous gas station in the Fairview location, it has been a local gem for years. You can usually find parking and it 's actually pretty close to many parts of Asheville. We arrived on a Saturday morning and we 're seated right away. They have a cute diner inspired interior and a patio (nothing special and close to the Highway but nice to have an outdoor option). I got the eggs Benedict and it was amazing. Tons of spinach and the eggs were perfect. Good amount of sauce too. My hash browns were pretty decent but my partner definitely got the last of a batch. All crispies.
