"e all chose from the lunch prixe fix menu. Choices were limited but interesting. We found the banana bread in the bread basket amusing, since that's usually associated with "home-cooked", but we did finish it all. My lobster bisque could have been a little thicker with more seafood. The seafood salad platter had a lot of variety and was finished with a nice vinaigrette. The shrimp scampi had large shrimp. Aside from a chattery group of women at the next table, it was an enjoyable meal"

"I came here for a bday brunch on a Sunday, food was great, service was good. This is a black owned establishment and I love the food and culture it represents. Try the lemon pepper wings OMG crispy like Korean fried chicken and seasoned so well. Also had the salmon and grits from the brunch menu. Salmon cooked to perfection. Some other dishes my family had was the shrimp and grits (so yummy) and the steak and eggs. On Sundays there's a selected menu for brunch. They play great music and unlimited mimosa specials. I've also been here to try the regular bbq menu items one friday.. drinks were great and everything we tried was also amazing (buffalo fried shrimp, rack of ribs, more wings, empanadas) highly recommend if you're on the mile or in long island in general looking for some good bbq food which is a rare offering in long island."

"I visited this restaurant around 8:23 PM on Labor Day with seven of my friends. We waited inside for about five minutes before anyone offered assistance. The staff members were behind the counter, seemingly ignoring us. I finally managed to get the attention of one of the female employees and asked for a medium-sized cup. To my surprise, she walked away without acknowledging my request, which I found incredibly rude, especially since I was one of the first to arrive. The worker was a young woman with colored hair and glasses, and her behavior came across as very unprofessional and impatient."

"Upon arrival, we parked our car and a valet man came up to us asking me something in Spanish. I didn’t hear or know if he was speaking to me since he was on the phone so I asked what in English and he blunty just said “$7.” I asked if this was for Puerto Plata and he said yes. My partner didn’t have cash and asked if there was an atm in the place and he said yeah but I said I had the cash. I asked if we pay now or later and he said “now.” He just had his hand out waiting while talking on the phone and I gave him the $7 (a $5 and 2 singles) and he didn’t hand us a ticket. I didn’t think anything of it since we parked our own car and took our keys. After spending $700 on our bill, we went to our car where the valet man approached us saying we didn’t pay and asked for my boyfriend to come with him taking to management. He spoke in Spanish to the manger saying he didn’t remember if we paid. Well maybe if you weren’t on the phone or gave me a ticket, we would not have this problem. The man at the front even said that they have the same valet person and maybe it wasn’t him. It was him and the same rude person. I spoke directly to the valet man saying what I paid and how he was on the phone. The front man was like like aw, it’s okay don’t worry about it but maybe it wasn’t him. No, no, it was and he was taking advantage! We didn’t like being accused of this due to his poor system of handling this. After he spoke to MY BOYFRIEND’S COUSIN, stating we didn’t pay in Spanish thinking she didn’t know us but she told him how we did and the same story. And it’s clear it was him because he told my boyfriend’s cousin what jad happened earlier! The staff inside were very understanding but the situation still rubbed me the wrong way. I’ve never written a review before. It just felt very degrading and felt like he was trying to take advantage since we are young or for other reasons. The food and service is good but valet needs to do something differently!"

"Welcome to freeport 's nautical mile, where each restaurant costs it a poor and a bein even before pandemic and inflation for food that is usually subpar. then there are taco Tuesdays, although there is neither a bar or a sitdown restaurant, it is where it can get affordable food that is also quality for the price. I have had the pleasure to meet and talk with the owner john at some locations, as in these days we pay more for less when it sends out and john really appreciates his customers telling me how he 't up the prices until he absolutely necessary to put it out, as long as he could, because he 'd rather load more customers by a little less than expend. all that aside, for a walkable windowhole in the wall type of the facility is the food great and even offers lunch specialties on weekdays and 3 for $12 tacos on Tuesday, which are offers for steak, chorizo and garnelen tacos that would cost a few more dollars more otherwise. they also have a food truck as I first discovered their food after a friend high time ago years ago during their humble beginnings. it is a jewel on the mile going a drink somewhere different, but save her money on food by going here before or after"
