"What a treat! They were EXTREMELY busy as soon as we sat down. There were only 2 servers who were clearly overwhelmed. It took a while for us to be acknowledged once we sat down, but they got it together. They start you off with a small sampler which myfamily devoured. My husband is Creole, so he?s a tuff judge, but he loved his Shrimp Étouffée. They even give you a smallbowl of seconds! We also got jambalaya (which both girls loved) and the catfish shrimp platter, which I found VERY FLAVORFUL.My oldest really enjoyed the seafood gumbo while my youngest really enjoyed the chicken sausage. We all loved the fries too!All the meals we got also came with a few small pieces of buttered bread. Now, the beignets?we?re no stranger to them. When wesee them on the menu, we order them. MY GOODNESS! They was no sauce (which at first we were bummed), but once we ate them, wesaw why they didn?t have any. They were delicious! I?m not that big of a sweets person, but I ate an one by myself! They havesomething for everyone I highly recommend."

I'm really sad to see that this location is permanently closed. We drove all the way here to celebrate my son's 21st birthday, only to find a sign saying they have closed down.

The Cajun food here is fantastic, and the portions are quite generous. Before your meal, they offer a sampler of side dishes that lets you sample some options for your order. The highlights include the fried oysters, étouffée, shrimp and grits, and the lobster bisque.

I heard this place is as authentic as they come, and I wasn't disappointed. The food was excellent, from the appetizers to the entrees. Our group of eight all enjoyed our meals, each choosing something different. We were fortunate to have Lisa, one of the co-owners, stop by to greet us, and she was very welcoming. I'll definitely visit again the next time I'm in the area. Having lived in New Orleans for a few years, I can say this place is really good!

The host asked if it was my first time there and brought me a selection of their soups to try. My favorites were the seafood gumbo and the red beans rice. All 6 were good though.I ordered a fried fish po'boy with Cajun fries. The fish was alright, I'll have to try something else next time. But it was a nice full sandwich. The bread it was on was delicious and the fries were killer.I'll be back here to try gator for sure!Parking: Dozens of spots. It's in a large lot with plenty of other restaurants around.

Husband was craving some real soul food. We decided to order take out because we are traveling with four pups. Food was ready within the specified time. Gator bites tasted just like chicken. It was fresh and delicious. The seafood platter will easilyfeed two people. Portions where very generous and all was fresh. Although the menu said homemade lemonade I got what tasted likecountry time lemonade. Other than that I would definitely be coming back for the small cat Étouffée as it was sold out. Placewas pretty nice and the staff was very friendly. Ver carta

Wow! This place is super delicious! Most of my family is from Baton Rouge and this place sends me straight back there. The service was great, we had Tish, she is so sweet! They also had amazing food and even have beignets!! They do have traditionallarger ones, but they also do bite size which is great for making sure everyone gets a piece. I wish I got a picture of them, but we ate them way too fast. They also have a blended hurricane, which was delicious as always. They carry a Louisiana beer,Abita. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some delicious traditional Cajun food. They also sell their Cajunspice and hot sauce!

We needed a spot between LA and Beaumont to meet for a Father's Day/Birthday celebration. We chose The Lost Cajun and it was amazing!!!! There were 16 of us and the staff were superb!!! The Zydeco music was playing, there was sports on the TV's and theatmosphere was great! From the hurricanes, to the gator bites and crab balls, to the main dishes and the Beignets, all of it wasdelicious. We had a wonderful time! We all sample each other's dishes and my 10 year old niece raved over the Lobster Bisque andenjoyed refills. There's nothing like family and even better, breaking bread together with great food to accompany us! Make yourway to The Lost Cajun, you won't be disappointed.

"The fact that they take reservations at 9:15 when last call for the kitchen is 9:30 is terrible. We checked in just before 9 and the hostess notices our reservation time. She asked if anyone called us beforehand to inform us that last call for the kitchen was 9:30. I replied that we were not given a courtesy call honestly, that would have helped us change our plans immediately had this been the case. Now, understanding that it was Christmas Day, we proceeded with the reservation with the hostess apologizing but letting us know they talked to the manager to inform them of the situation. Well, not sure the manager did much because as we were seated and met by our server who was covering for our actual server, Rob, it was clear they wanted to get out of there. Simple questions were responded by “I don’t know” or brushed off responses. Pretty rude considering it was our first time. So in a haste I just order a slew of things to at least accommodate the 9:30 cut off. As the sauces get dropped off, I asked what was which sauce, the server said them quickly. I asked “Okay but what’s what?” Her response “Oh I don’t know” couldn’t figure it out? Couldn’t ask? Management make it simple. 3 compartments then have it standard; left to right are X Y Z sauces. That way your servers know at all times. At that point I asked a manager to switch servers. I was already rushed by the initial server and just started off on the wrong foot. A manager by the name of Mitchell then took over. But clearly, when Rob, our regular server came to take over, you can tell he wasn’t happy to be there either. So the lack luster service, no response type of interaction I was over it. We ate the food, which for the price we paid, should have been better. Also, they ran out of beer before we even ordered drinks. Needless to say, we ate, paid and got out. Terrible service for mediocre food and poor attitudes. Not worth the trouble, holiday or not! Note to mgmt, don’t allow reservations so late."
