The Mahogany Room at Bar Anticipation

I always have a fantastic experience at this restaurant—it's my favorite place to go for a night out, thanks to its great drinks and delicious food.

An elegant experience at its finest. The food is outstanding, and the atmosphere is absolutely magnificent. If you step outside to the grotto for some fresh air, you might even be lucky enough to catch a live band performing that night. In my opinion, Bar A deserves an A+.

The food was good, but we felt very rushed, which was quite frustrating. The appetizers and entrees were served at the same time, which is not how it should be done. Our server initially was pleasant, but her mood changed, and she became rude. It would have been nice if she had acknowledged the tip we gave her with a simple thank you.

The food at the Mahogany Room is consistently excellent. You might assume that Bar Anticipation would place less emphasis on its food, but that would be a mistake. They serve some of the best burgers along the shore, fantastic BBQ, and a variety of specials. The quality of the food is impressive, and the kitchen clearly knows what they are doing! Ver carta

A group of about 16 to 20 of us attended a charity event for veterans at Bar A. I was a bit surprised that they didn't promote the event on their website, as it seemed to attract quite a crowd. The weather was lovely, the bands were fantastic, and the cause was truly worthwhile. We enjoyed some appetizers and cocktails while making our donation to the charity.

We visited after a memorial walk and had a great experience. The food was delicious, the drinks were reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there was no outdoor heating on a chilly day, and we couldn't move indoors due to the large crowd. However, I definitely plan to return for their amazing wings, nachos, and cold beer!

This is the best bar I’ve visited at the NJ Beach. Parking is decent, and the staff—both servers and bartenders—are incredibly friendly and helpful, making it easy to tip them well. The food was not only delicious but also served promptly. I absolutely love the outdoor area of the bar; it’s fantastic! It’s a great spot to catch a show during events. I highly recommend supporting this bar as it promotes live performances and kindly hosts events. It’s just a few blocks from the beach! Ver carta
