The Mill On The River

jose was our waiter and excellent! the food was also excellent. it was a wonderful lunch with our hospitable son.

Food was great but sitting outback under the sun lamps which were set to way too hot for the small area with few tables.

We really like dining at the Mill but on the particular day we went the food was not nearly as good as usual. Unfortunately we were very dissappointed. Ver carta

the only improvement would be to have more bread during the first course. I thought the salad and entrees were fantastic and I would definitely come here again.

I had birthday with my wife. the oysters, clam chowder and red-bark nouvelle were delicious. they even gave us champagne and profiterole on the house. they would like to try again sometime

We sat at a table on the terrace, which was pleasantly heated and quiet. The service was excellent and quick, although it felt a bit rushed towards the end. I ordered the four-egg omelet, but it seemed more like a two-egg portion, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, I was surprised to find out that all the side items cost an extra $4.95 each. It has been awhile since I dined at the Mill on the River. I just retired and my boss wanted to take me out for dinner; I wanted to show her a nice CT restaurant before she flew back to NC. The Mill did not disappoint; I had the Toscano salad and scallops on risotto. Yum! The table provided the perfect setting near a cozy fireplace. The service was attentive and friendly. I’m definitely going back!

I've been a regular visitor to this restaurant for years, so I was shocked to see how much the quality of service and food has declined. It took forty minutes for my burger—without any sides—to arrive, even though I was charged the full brunch price. I didn't order any baked goods or alcohol, which are usually included in that price. When my burger finally arrived, it was undercooked with red meat, which poses a risk for foodborne illness. In the end, I didn't eat anything.

We had reservations, we arrived 5 min prior to the time. Never was seated for 30 min. Then they took us to one table, made us move from that one in the dining room, which was requested on the reservation, to a table in the bar. We were crammed into a corner table that we kept getting hit by servers as they walked by. We waited 20 min for our cocktails to come, which arrived when the food came out. The portions were small, potatoes were cold and tasteless. My husband ordered 1/2 chicken and it looked more like two chicken wings on his plate. We were very disappointed as we have eaten here before and never had this experience. They had overbooked the evening as there were numerous people waiti... Ver carta
