"My friend and I both ordered the scallops and pasta. $32 each. Came with 4 scallops which were good but the pasta was overcooked and had no flavor. Neither of us ate the angel hair. It was just too mushy so we paid $8 a scallop. Not sure why people like this restaurant. For the money it's not good at all. Lots of much better places around. Won't go again. Second time and the food was vey disappointing both times. Food: 2"

Food was absolutely delicious, we got the crab cakes, Hanger Steak Frites, Burrata Stuffed Ravioli, and cider donut with ice cream, chocolate sauce, and caramel sauce . We celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant last night and were truly impressed by its beauty, particularly the design of the bar, dining room, and outdoor terrace. Our waiter, Ryan, was fantastic and ensured we were well taken care of throughout the evening. Every dish we ordered was delicious. We will definitely return with our family!

"My post pop up trip to the Venetian was excellent. This is a neighborhood Italian restaurant that is punching way above its weight class. Some of the perks that you don’t get everywhere include olive oil with two kinds of bread to snack on, a solid, reasonably priced wine list, and a inventive cocktail list that has a few items that delight. Last night’s affogato martini was unexpectedly good. Our server arrived with a scoop of ice cream in a martini glass and shook the rest of the martini in a small shaker, pouring it into the class and making a neat presentation. The Caesar salad we had was a good portion and tasty with croutons and not overdone with dressing. My steak and fries was worthy of a higher end steakhouse. It was cooked perfectly and the brandy peppercorn sauce I ordered with it was a great complement. I alternate between the spicy broccoli and French fries to have with the steak and they are both great. The staff (including the general manager and executive chef check in to see how things are and are quick to make sure everything is as expected. The staff really seem to care about making a positive impression and it shows. I can’t help but go back. Each time, we are treated to consistently great food and service. How they manage to recruit and retain such great serving staff I’ll never know :"

"I was really disappointed with my recent visit. I ordered blueberry pancakes, but they had no flavor at all; the blueberries were tasteless, and even the maple syrup was lacking in taste. I had to resort to using the blueberry jam packets just to make the meal more palatable. I've been here several times before, but this was by far the worst breakfast I've had. I won't be returning. Additionally, the coffee was burnt and priced at $3.50. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and quick, and the place was clean."

"It's an anniversary. The service was ok, take while for the server to come to our table after we sat down, got us water and we ordered the appetizer calamari and mussels, but the calamari was so dry doesn't taste fresh, and the lobster mashed potatoes only have a tiny piece of lobster on the bottom, and the chicken was oily. The server didn't come to check how’s our meal, the only time she came to our table was the time to take our ordered and gave us a check"

"The hostess seemed visibly annoyed by our presence and did not offer a welcoming or friendly demeanor. She appeared to be inconvenienced by the arrival of guests and did not provide any helpful assistance. Despite the lackluster service, the food at Schooners remains delicious. Unfortunately, my favorite dish, the steak tips, was unavailable, so we opted for calamari, a burger, and a shrimp scampi pizza, all of which were enjoyable. However, the coffee was subpar and the lack of bottled water was disappointing. Feeling uncomfortable with the atmosphere and service, I decided to take my food to go and dine elsewhere. The staff's indifference towards my family, especially my 14-month-old child, left a sour taste in my mouth. I was disappointed by the lack of assistance from the hostess when leaving the restaurant, which solidified my decision to possibly not return in the future. The loyal customers of Schooners deserve better service, and I hope that improvements can be made to enhance the overall dining experience."
