This restaurant really shines thanks to its exceptional service, varied menu selections, generous portion sizes, and welcoming ambiance. Our group had a fantastic experience enjoying both lunch and dinner here.

Normally I would send a picture of my plate before I eat it but I want to show you the aftermath. This place is delicious! One of the best barbecue places around. The burnt ends and a brisket are very flavorful and well sauced. The sides are just as amazing. I highly recommend this place Not to forget the chocolate cake is bomb!

Authentic. The ribs had a perfect texture and were paired well with a sweet sauce that complimented them nicely. The Brunswick Stew was flavorful and packed with meat. The pork meat was juicy and colorful, but could have used some extra sauce. Personally, I prefer vinegar, which really brought out the flavor of the pork. The slaw was a bit bland, but was elevated with the vinegar sauce. Normally not a fan of sweet sauces, but I couldn't resist finishing off the sauce from the ribs. This restaurant is the real deal. As someone who barbecues myself, I usually don't like going out for BBQ, but wow, they truly smoke their meat and do it right! We always make a stop here on every trip to the beach, and I heard they are opening a location in Raleigh, which I am eagerly anticipating (since they are closed at home). I will definitely be stopping here again, I promise you. My only complaint is that the sides could use a bit more seasoning; their potato salad was quite bland, but once I added salt and pepper, it was good. The Jalapeño Mac and cheese were excellent though.

The pulled pork was juicy and vibrant, although it could have used a bit more sauce. I personally lean towards vinegar, which really enhanced the flavors of the pork. The coleslaw was a little bland, but the vinegar sauce helped elevate its taste. Normally, I’m not a fan of sweet sauces, but I found myself eagerly soaking up the leftover sauce from the ribs. It was definitely worth the 20-mile detour for my first visit.

Update: went back a second time. Side portions still smaller than I would like for the price, but food great. The place was busy and the sell out regularly, so can't really blame them. Will go back, just not as often... Since moving to NC we have been roaming around the countryside trying new BBQ places. Who would know one of the best would be just down the road! The food here was great, the service great and the atmosphere wonderful. The sauces come packaged and I could have used more. I assume I could have gotten more if we ate in. What I would do to have this place within reasonable driving distance. Redneck BBQ Lab is serving up some phenomenal fare. Absolutely nothing that we ordered disappointed, and we ordered just about one of everything, including dessert! . Also, the staff was ridiculously friendly, even for being super busy. We got there about 30 minutes after open on a Sunday, and it was already slammed with customers (both inside and in their drive-through line .
