We always have a good experience when we go to Salty Iguana! Love the artwork on the walls. The food is good. The service is always on point.

I stopped in during a slow time and was seated and served quickly. Everything looked good and the decision was tough, but I had a burrito and rice. It was great, I ate more than I should have but it was too good to stop. Ver carta

First off, as any Mexican restaurant is first judged by the chips and salsa, this one was excellent. Flavorful salsa with a good tomato taste and large chips. The lunch specials were nice and the unique 'Iguana ' decor was fun.

First time there on Wed evening for a party of seven. Had the Iggy Hot Pot. It was excellent on a cool night. A Beef, chicken, and shrimp in a thick broth. A tad spicy, but that's the way inside it. Our waitress was great and we didn't have to wait for anything.

Tequila was good. Food was fast and delicious yet typical to many other mainstream Mexican restaurants. Our server was super nice and very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks available from the bar. Would recommend. Had a great meal and was reasonably priced. I had the Sancho del Mar burrito (grilled fish and shrimp). It was very good, but also probably high in calorie count because of the rich white sauce. But I'll still get it again. And then I had the house margarita. It was really good. I've had too many margaritas lately that were trying too hard to be really fancy. Just the basic margarita and it really turned out well.

Such a neat atmosphere in the restaurant with the murals of iguana people living their lives. The drink was underwhelming. I got a frozen raspberry margarita. The flavor was very very weak which made it mainly tequila water. The spotlight of the food is the iguana dip. If you like queso get this dip it won't disappoint. Don't waste your time or money on this dumpster fire of a restaurant. Have always enjoyed the Independence location, however my experience at the Lawrence restaurant was bad enough I don't even want to go back to the Independence location.
