"So far, so good! I haven 't had a bad experience yet and I am thrilled to have a vegan restaurant in the High Desert. Some comments in general. This is not the type of place that is trying to disguise what the food is. And this isn 't a comment for or against places that do that, it 's just for expectation folks might have. For example, the 'fish ' is great. It 's portobello mushrooms, delicious. But do not expect seitan dressed up with seaweed trying to hide the taste and texture of mushrooms. The space and kitchen is small. There can be a wait if they 're slammed. And if it 's exceptionally busy, seating can be close. There 's just bottled water and canned carbonated water available. I 'd bring a drink or get it to go if you want something else or don 't want to pay so much for water. I recommend the taco trio! Try a few different proteins and find your favorite!"

I LOVE this restaurant !! The staff are so nice and helpful ! The food portions are HUGE, seasoned to perfection very colorful : . We made two items last between 4 people with extra to take home !! Definitely check it out

Seriously good and filling. Loved it even though I’m not vegan. Both burritos came out within 5min. The location is kinda weird: walk through the long parking follow the signs to the right door of the train station. It’s much cuter on the inside! Ver carta

This place is INCREDIBLE! Food is amazing, fresh, visually pleasing, and freakin delicious! They put time and love into these dishes! The atmosphere is really nice and clean. I had planned to get my food to go, but I decided to eat here. I can't wait to come back!

Vegan Vato is a real food gem in the desert. Nicely cooked rice and beans, quite spicy, healthy serving size, fast friendly service. Plate coconut juice tip was $9.50. A person can't get a dry tortilla in a gas station for less. The depot is fun atmosphere, but needing maintenance. The bus station and parking lot is a wee bit spooky, but has security. I mean, it's CA cool to wear crusty jeans? Gack.
