"This is probably the best spot to grab a bite in the small town of Marathon. I would have rated them four stars, as the waitress was very friendly and seemed accommodating despite being busy. My mom and I both ordered salads; I had steak on mine and my mom opted for chicken. The food was decent—nothing to rave about, but fresh and edible. However, I specifically requested dressing (oil and vinegar) on the side, which didn’t happen, and my salad ended up drenched in honey mustard dressing, which I’m not supposed to eat. Additionally, I asked for avocado, but it didn't come on my salad; the waitress didn’t mention that they were out. Because of this, they lose a star for service and attentiveness in following through on orders. Overall, we appreciated the option for something relatively healthy in such a remote area. On a side note, the place is quite run down, but the bar looks nice and has a great selection of drinks, along with plenty of activities throughout the week. It’s definitely a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere."

The chef is amazing she made me the best steak I have ever had in my life!! She also found out I didn't like packaged honey mustard and made me homemade which was amazingly good. Great food and very friendly awesome atmosphere. I highly recommend this place

Congratulations to the new owners Megan and Alex. The motel is excellent. Great value for the . Clean and comfortable. Handicap rooms available. Tiffany is terrific. Beautiful quaint village is Marathon. Anything you need, restaurants, fast food, things to do are all within 15+ minutes away. Go to Gregg's market buy some carrots and feed the horses nearby. And watch out for the Amish horse carts! Rooms: 5 Ver carta

I'm not sure why there are bad reviews on here. Seems maybe it may just be someone who is never satisfied. My wife and I stayed here while we were visiting her mother's graveside. Let me tell you. It's a quaint little hotel with everything you need. The owners were so nice and accommodating. We had dinner and drinks the night we got in. Exactly what we needed. And breakfast with free coffee before we got back on the road. We definitely recommend this place!

We stopped here on our way back from a night baseball game in Binghamton. The motel was decent and very affordable, showing its age in a typical way. The highlight of our stay was breakfast, which we enjoyed in what turned out to be the bar—a delightful surprise! The breakfast was classic diner fare and was served excellently, all while a lively crowd of early-morning patrons enjoyed drinks around us. It was such a fun atmosphere! The staff was friendly, the food was great, and overall, it was a really enjoyable experience.

For restaurant only: we stopped here after skiing one night. We went through the bar entrance and were greeted by the barmaid. She was friendly, attentive and nice. We sat at the bar, had drinks and a tasty dinner. Cocktails are reasonable, big and cheap. We shared the boneless wing sampler which is 3 different flavors of your choosing. I got the burger and it was great! I ordered it medium rare and it came out perfect. My husband ordered the Two Bear Inn steak. He had wished he had ordered the burger. It wasn't bad but my burger was so good. Ver carta

This sounded so cute and awesome by the reviews. They should rename it Moldy Tetanus Motel. It did have some fun features like another room had control of our tv and we couldn't turn it off, stop the increasing volume, or stop the channel from scrolling randomly. Haha that was the highlight. It was smoky, dirty, loud, smelly, moldy, unsafe, and there was someone else's blood staining our sheets and pillow sheets. Cigarette holes in our non smoking room comforter. Reception was also rude (we think because we wore masks into the office which is tiny) and changed our room number upon check in. Then she told us breakfast wasn't available to US only the next day. It was on our reservation?! No on...

During my search for a new home in the Marathon, NY area, I had the pleasure of visiting the Three Bear Inn twice. On both occasions, I was warmly welcomed by the small-town atmosphere. Suzanne certainly knows how to make guests feel special with her friendly and personable nature! If you're looking for a place to enjoy a tasty cocktail or a craft beverage at very reasonable prices, the Three Bear Inn is an outstanding choice in Cortland County. They also offer a fantastic variety of menu items to satisfy your appetite. Conveniently located just a short walk away is the inn itself, which could be ready to accommodate you at a moment's notice. Whether you're passing through on a road trip or...

"Update: Decided to try this place again. Service was very good but the food was not. The seasoning on my shrimp was burnt and the beer cheese on my boyfriends burger was broken. Still not a fan. Also, they do not give a military discount. Original Review: Met family here for dinner. The place was not busy at all (about 4 tables filled with 3-4 people a table). My boyfriend and I each ordered a pain killer drink. Neither tasted like it had any rum in it. The service was so slow for drinks and my dad didn't get his water for almost 10 minutes. Due to this my boyfriend and I decided to pay for our drinks and go. Well the waitresses (we had 2 for a party of 10) came by to take orders, and we told the one taking orders we didn't want anything and to please bring our check. After the orders were taken, we waited another 10-15 minutes with no check. I also found out one of our friends didn't even get her order taken. The waitress skipped over her! I decided to just go the register to pay for our drinks and the girl rolling silverware said she couldn't ring us out. I had to wait for our waitress. No problem, except after about 5 more minutes we still don't see our servers. The girl at the register walks to the back to see where the waitress is and comes out with a ticket. We were able to finally pay and leave. I understand the short handed issue going on but we had 2 servers during a non-busy time. This was the poorest service and I will not be back."
