This is one of the last old-school OG PHX Japanese food spots. California rolls are fair to partly cloudy but most everything else is damn good. The bowls should all be given a chance to slide across your hungry mouths at one point. Every one of them.....

I have been dining at this specific Tokyo Express for 20 years and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and patient too. This location is much better than the other Tokyo Express on Camelback and 7th St. Make sure to only visit this one! Ver carta

Don't wait too long. Pays about $15 for 2 chickens Teriyaki bowls, ordered a bowl with steamed vegetables, a side salad and a drink. Was enough to feed my daughter, important others and me. Overall, it tasted quite similar to flame broilers. Service was pleasant. I would definitely come back and recommend tokyo express to a friend.
