The atmosphere is outstanding, and the food is fantastic. It’s the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

It was nice to go out for dinner and receive a delicious meal off a menu. Friendly local and out of town patrons gives a pleasant mix of conversion. We'll be back.

The waitstaff exhibited unprofessional behavior, specifically engaging in inappropriate relationships with out-of-town guests' spouses. My experience with the food, service, and atmosphere was disappointing, each rated at a 1. Ver carta

I had some trouble locating the entrance since it was around the back, but I'm so glad I found it! The food was incredible. The chef did a fantastic job on the taco salad; I think it's the best salad I've ever had. I'll definitely make a point to stop by next time I'm in the area.

The steaks are delicious, although the burgers are my favorites (portabella and five alarm). Fries are always plentiful, and the service is friendly. The crab cakes are the only menu item I haven't adored. It's definitely a hometown bar but it seems to be welcoming to everyone. They do both take out and sit in. The best dinner choice in town!

On a different note, I rented a room here for a month, and the residents are very friendly; they respect your privacy and won't bother you. The maintenance guy is really sweet and always offers helpful suggestions about my stay that I might not have considered. I believe they also offer free cable if you bring your own TV. The bar scene is quite laid-back since there are diners in the same area. I never witnessed anyone being unruly, and they've expanded the building with an outdoor section as they've been gaining more customers. Ver carta

What can I say? I wasn't really impressed. I stopped by this place and found it to be quite local, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it didn’t feel very inviting for someone from out of town. This isn't to say that the patrons weren't having a good time; I imagine if you were a regular at this bar, you might rate it five stars. It's curious that I haven't seen many high ratings yet… perhaps the regulars at Tommy Boy's are new to Yelp. On a positive note, my bartender was attentive and friendly, which is more than I can say for the owners, who seemed to be busy socializing with their customers at the bar. You'd think that in a dying town full of ex-miners, rednecks, and--more recently--gas workers, bars would be popping up all over the place. Unfortunately, with the closing of two of the better bars in Waynesburg, Tommy Boy's in one of the few. And unfortunate, it is. (I'm reviewing this as a bar, not as a restaurant) The atmosphere is very redneck. Cowbow boots and cheap flannels are a must if you don't want to appear high-class. They don't allow smoking inside, now, but there is an outside bar with many tables available for sitting. Unfortunately, the outside bar is never manned.
