"In the realm of hospitality, the Town and Country Hotel in Gorham, New Hampshire, truly shines as a beacon of excellence. This establishment is a testament to the art of hotel management and guest experience. Here’s an in depth review of my stay at the Town and Country Hotel: Remarkably Spacious Rooms: The first impression upon entering the hotel room is one of amazement. The rooms are generously spacious, providing ample room to move around and store personal belongings. This feature alone contributes to an immediate sense of comfort and relaxation, a crucial element in the hotel experience. Bathroom Amenities: The Town and Country Hotel has taken innovation to a new level with a unique amenity a dryer in the ceiling of the bathroom. This thoughtful addition adds practicality to the experience. It truly captured my attention and made the post shower experience exceptionally pleasant. Such innovative touches set this hotel apart from the ordinary. Great food! Dinner and Breakfast!! Family Friendly Atmosphere: The Town and Country Hotel distinguishes itself by being a family friendly establishment. The hotel’s commitment to creating a welcoming environment for families is commendable. The atmosphere is not only accommodating to adult travelers but also caters to the needs of families with children, ensuring that all guests feel at home."

With a full bar, pool, and jacuzzi, this restaurant is the perfect spot for both travelers and nature enthusiasts. Located directly across from the golf course, it offers a great backdrop for leaf peepers.

The restaurant is extremely vibrant with lush green mountains, sunny skies, and crystal clear streams. There is a fresh breeze and plenty of activities to enjoy. The service is excellent and the staff is friendly.

We attended the VFW Convention and had both lunch and dinner at the restaurant. The food was very good, but the drinks were a bit pricey. The staff was a bit short-handed, so patience was important. However, the servers did their best. Hopefully next year they will have more help available. Ver carta

The chemicals in the pool were so strong that my skin is cracking and my eyes are still swollen two days later. I attempted to contact the restaurant and pool management to address my concerns, but was informed that it was not feasible. My entire family is suffering from symptoms due to the excessive chemicals in the pool.

My child loves the pool and arcade, while my husband and I enjoyed the hot tub and pool. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was fantastic - large portions at a great price. The guests can get a bit rowdy at times, but they are always friendly. If you enjoy socializing, this is a great place. And if you prefer quiet, it's still a great place to stay. The rooms are quiet with beautiful views.

This charming, traditional hotel had a small issue at check-in. We had reserved two adjoining rooms, as confirmed online and in print, but the front desk said we only had one room. After some initial panic on their part, they were able to find us another room down the hall, although it wasn't adjoining. This was a bit disappointing for our funeral memorial stay, as we wanted to be together during this difficult time. The hotel was clean, and my kid enjoyed the pool and arcade. The food was excellent. Despite the check-in hiccup, I would stay here again. Ver carta

If you do stay at this “ resort” be sure to specifically request not to be placed in room 211 in the main building. When we arrived at 7pm for our stay we were told at the last minute “oh, by the way you’re going to hear music until around 11PM”. Mind you, we had been driving for 8 HRS and out of the trails the remainder of the day. Needless to say the room is directly above the band. Completely unprofessional and we will never be staying at this “resort” again. The staff was less than apologetic and we were stranded bc it was peak foliage week. Zero rating in my opinion. TV didn’t work and the beds were broken.

"This place has been great for swimming all year round. For $10, non-guests can swim in their pool, which is a fun activity for kids even when it's cold outside. Unfortunately, the water was extremely chlorinated the last time we went (April 27th, 2022). It felt like the chlorine was so strong, it could either kill germs or melt the skin off toddlers. Our eyes burned for hours, and even after a soapy shower, our children were screaming with burning eyes for hours. It felt like pure bleach would only hurt a little bit more. I understand the need for chlorine, but the amount was excessive. Please address this issue so we can continue to use the pool."

"However, I would rate it more like three stars at most for a few reasons: this is not really a hotel, so don’t expect the same value you would find at a typical hotel. The staff is friendly, but they lack professionalism. You will definitely pay a premium here. If you're mainly drawn by the views and the environment, then this is perfect for you. The rooms maintain much of their original decor, and they serve tea every afternoon, though it lacks the traditional tea sandwiches. Remember, this is not Windsor Castle—it's an old mansion in the USA. While sharing bathrooms at $400 a night can be acceptable, not having your room cleaned, dealing with unkempt shared bathrooms, and experiencing outdated plumbing is not. It's evident that the money is being funneled into maintaining the farm and the potentially expensive upkeep of the mansion. They do provide some local cheese as a welcome gift, along with a poem and candy for the night, which is a nice touch but does not make up for the other issues. That said, the beauty of the place makes it worth staying for a night or two if you're willing to compromise and know what to expect. If your budget allows, I recommend splurging for a room with an en-suite bathroom, even if it costs $600 a night—treat yourself to a weekend in this amazing location, but don’t expect hotel-like amenities for that price. And by the way, bring your own drinks because the bar closes at 9 PM! Mostly an older crowd here, so don’t come expecting nightlife."
