The food was really good. Had the Patty Melt, Cheeseburger and Hamburger Pony Shoe. They were all great decisions. Very recommended to eat here.

Epitome of greasy spoon joint! Great fresh cooked food. The root beer is homemade and is fantastic. Good size menu with something for everyone including a vegetarian. The burger was hot and juicy the fries were excellent. Highly recommended

Service was cold, waitress was rude. First choice off the menu, they were out. Second choice, they were out. No apology, just curt responses. Asked about what was good, no help. Not even an effort. Ended up with a cheesesteak, it was ok. Wouldn't go back.

Although it 's only seasonal, we stopped here for a business lunch while in Beardstown. There are daily specials and a cheeseburger deal that includes fries and a drink for under $6. You will spend more money at McDonalds or Hardees and not support a local business if you skip out on this place, which is just complete nonsense. The burger was freshly made and delicious and the daily special of chicken and noodles was also great. I 'm thinking whatever you decide to get here will be a great choice. This is a 5 star restaurant for Beardstown and a 4 star for central Illinois in general. They also have the traditional horse and pony shoes, which is always a must-eat. Enjoy!! Ver carta
