"My daughter and I stumbled on to the gem this past Saturday. We were welcomed with kindness. Staff made us feel like family. Cierra is the sweetest hostess, server you will ever meet. Ricky kept us entertained as he likes to entertain with his witty humor. All Ricky needs is a mic and a beat, he will serenade to you. The food is fresh, well made and very yummy. You have to try the Monte Cristo and Tomato Basil soup. Hug’s is now my favorite go to on Saturday’s. See y’all next week."

"Our family has been ordering home delivery from this 54th Street location for over a year now and we have never had an issue with delivered food. My kids love the street kid burgers and waffle fries. Other household favorites include the burgers, steaks, gyro, and gringo dip.We've eaten at location twice. The location is about what you would expect from current day sports leaning bars. Lots of TVs, especially around the bar, an eclectic mix of memorabilia on the walls, and Americana leaning music, mostly country and classic Rock with the random top 40 from fifteen years ago mixed in.The first time the service was good. There was a slight mix up when our steak came out and I received another customer's well done steak, and he received my medium steak. The server noticed the mix up immediately and took both steaks back immediately. We were a few tables apart under the same server in the same section. Mistakes happen, the steak was re made, and it turned out tasty. Slight inconvenience but overall the food was good, service was excellent, and there was nothing to complain about. The manager came by and apologized all over himself, but we assured him everything was okay, that it was just a mistake, etc. We were not unhappy at all and the manager was very apologetic.Our must recent trip we were seated under a very attentive server. She took our order promptly, made sure we always had drinks more than half full on the table, and was very quick to remedy any minor issues. Unfortunately the quality of the steak on this trip was just not good. I'm not sure if the restaurant has made any alterations to the recipes being used to prep meat in the kitchen, but there was an overwhelming, unpleasant smoke flavor to the steak. I hesitated to send the steak back, but the server insisted another steak be cooked. I do not like to send food back, I apologized for inconveniencing her and the kitchen, but the smoke flavor was so overwhelming the steak was really inedible. When the steak was replaced it was cooked closer to order temperature and the flavor was a little less smokey, but still undesirably strong. It was good enough to eat most of and we took the leftovers home. After warming the remainder to eat at home it was quite rare on the end that was left uneaten in the restaurant. The steak was ordered medium and after reheating at home there were dark red areas in the middle of the steak. The overall texture was also not great, nearly like it was steamed and the sear was non existent. The server was, again, awesome. She apologized, informed the manager, discussed a course of action with the kitchen, and did her best to make it right. But at the end of the day the steak was just disappointing. I had hoped the manager would stop by so I could ask what changed regarding the steak preparation, but at no point did he stop by our table. Gringo dip was still great, my husband enjoyed his gyro, but the steak was a giant disappointment.Overall, despite the great service, the food being sub par at a restaurant (and in this economy) makes me think we should try another local steak and burger joint. : sad to say because we had really grown to like this place."

"1st time here. Service is excellent kind Very loud and noisy cafeteria, Texas typical. Super loud. Free chips salsa: spicy salsa is good: the regular salsa tastes like canned tomato. Ordered the fajita taco salad in shell. Dressing option i chose was creamy chipotle: that dressing is a vinaigrette, and it has quite a bit of sugar. There’s nothing creamy about it. There’s no cream in it at all: maybe management has previously changed the ingredients or is confused? I requested a small queso and use that which worked great. The fajita meat seem to be a good quality cooked very perfectly with a tiny bit of pink in the middle. Only problem is there was less than a tablespoon on the salad …. if that. Typically, I cannot finish a taco salad, but I cleaned the bowl on this one.. a small female. (The portion of meat was very minimal). The beans are canned black beans and they put corn in it, which is really nice but I am not sure if the corn was frozen or canned. There was one tomato cut in half a little cherry tomato. Drink was water from tap. For the price, they can most definitely do better. This was not a $20 meal by far."

"I’ve been here twice and the food is overpriced. Atmosphere is cold and the wait staff has been rude. I have celiac’s disease and I asked the waitress what the gluten free options were because the menu said that they had GF choices. Her response was the obvious choices?? Well at some Mexican food restaurants there’s a gluten in their meat, gluten is hidden in artificial crab, some sauces, some vegetables in the way it’s cooked. So I’m sorry it’s not obvious. I got a salad with grilled chicken and still got sick. I got sick last time off of their Seabass. I will never be back. Go to Harvest or Ricks much better food, atmosphere and service. Dietary restrictions: Not celiacs friendly. Got sick both times and was given attitude when asking about gluten free items. "My aunt and I visited the McKinney location, and we were very pleased with our experience. The service was quick, and the food was incredibly fresh. The peanut sauce that accompanied the spring rolls was so delicious that we had to take some home. I enjoyed the pad Thai, while my aunt ordered the coconut curry with crispy chicken, both of which were delightful. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of all the ingredients, especially the sprouts and carrot garnish. Overall, I was very satisfied and hope they maintain this high level of quality."
