"For over ten years, I’ve avoided ordering any meat products from Wendy’s until yesterday afternoon (which I now regret!). My wife ordered a single burger without cheese, adding pickles and extra onion. Instead, we received a burger with two slices of cheese, fourteen pickle chips, and a tiny piece of onion. The only thing they got right was the single piece of meat (you can see the receipt in the picture clearly stating no cheese, pickles, and extra onion, so it was ordered correctly).
Thankfully, my wife checked the order before we left and noticed the mistake. She went back in to explain the issue. The server inside said she couldn’t take it back but would fix it. This response was puzzling, as my wife just wanted to return the incorrect order for them to confirm the issue and potentially dispose of it. The server then gave my wife a single burger without cheese, extra pickles, and a tiny piece of partially cooked onion that was about the size of a ring that might fit over my thumb. My wife decided to bring both that and the incorrect one home since Wendy’s wouldn’t take the wrong order back (which is how I ended up with the photo).
In the picture of the incorrect burger, you can see the excessive cheese, numerous pickles, and the small piece of onion. We specifically asked for pickles with extra onion – it’s absurd! When I opened the corrected burger, it was overflowing with pickles (thirteen pickle chips, many coated with some sort of thin, runny white substance that looked like mayo), a pitifully small ring of partially cooked onion, and a burger that was only partially cooked and bizarrely sliced almost in half. The tiny onion piece was awkwardly placed on one corner of the oddly cut and undercooked meat.
Unfortunately, it all ended up in the trash. This is it for me – it’s my final farewell to Wendy’s."
