"Logan's has a cozy, inviting atmosphere, somewhat reminiscent of Texas Roadhouse but with a bit less hustle and bustle. For those moving to Turner’s Crossing from other areas, you might find it new. Karen and I, coming from Ohio, had never been to one before.
Now, onto the review. The menu is extensive, particularly for beef lovers, but there are also interesting pasta options, and many appetizers are substantial enough to serve as a meal. I chose the Logan, a house specialty featuring an 11-ounce sirloin served with two sides. I opted for a baked sweet potato and a Caesar salad. We were also treated to a basket of fresh, lightly buttered rolls straight from the oven along with our drinks. Karen selected the filet mignon, which she paired with green beans and mashed potatoes. She described her steak as tender and flavorful and was very pleased with her sides. We had plenty of leftovers to take home.
This was at least our fifth or sixth visit to Logan's since moving here, so here’s a caveat regarding the Logan sirloin: it has always been delicious except for one time. When you order a straightforward sirloin, the tenderness can be hit or miss. Generally, I’ve found that you have a good chance of getting a quality cut, but it’s not guaranteed. I could have sent back the one that didn’t meet expectations, but I was too hungry to wait for another.
The highlight of our meal was the strawberry cheesecake dessert we shared—it was a slice of perfectly thick and creamy New York-style cheesecake, reminiscent of the amazing cheesecake from Katz's Deli in Manhattan.
Logan's may not be fancy, but if you’re in the mood for a solid meal at a nearby restaurant that won’t break the bank, it’s a great option. Below are quick notes from previous visits:
**August 8, 2023:** Our car guided us back to Logan's for dinner. Karen loved the Maui beef tips in pineapple sauce over rice, paired with green beans and a Caesar salad. I thoroughly enjoyed my 11-ounce Logan sirloin with baked sweet potato and Caesar salad. We even had enough leftovers for a nice lunch the next day. Our server, Tianna, was lovely and efficient, using "y’all" multiple times. When we inquired about her Texas roots, we discovered she’s actually from Youngstown, which made us feel an instant connection.
**December 1, 2023:** Beef was on the menu again! Karen had a craving for filet mignon and all the fixings, so we returned for a third visit. The menu here is quite extensive, offering more than just steaks. I went for my usual 11-ounce top sirloin with a Caesar salad, baked sweet potato, and warm rolls, as usual. We left with more leftovers. Logan’s is a casual restaurant chain with 135 locations across 22 states, and it shares a similar vibe and pricing to Texas Roadhouse. We were both satisfied with our meals.
**January 7, 2024:** This small Texas chain is just three miles from our home and an ideal choice for nights when Karen doesn’t want to cook. At around $19, the 11-ounce sirloin with baked sweet potato, Caesar salad, and buttery rolls is a great deal. Karen opted for an appetizer plate of loaded potato skins, bringing home half of it."
