"The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, the food was good, but I hesitated to give a full 5-star rating because the steaks only felt like a 3-star experience to me. I wouldn't typically order steak for lunch, but this is a steakhouse, and the aroma wafting through the air was too tempting. They offer 12oz and 14oz ribeyes, as well as a 16oz T-bone as their main options. My husband and I both opted for the ribeye. It was heavily marinated in Italian dressing, which my husband noted he grew up eating; it adds flavor that can help mask tougher cuts of meat. It tasted fine, but I prefer to savor the pure flavor of the steak. It's reminiscent of steakhouses that serve steak with A-1 sauce—not necessarily bad, but I expect a top-notch steak when dining out. The steaks were priced around $20–$22, and I would say they would be better valued at about $15 in any other casual dining restaurant. I had expected more in this regard. On a positive note, the baked sweet potato served with cinnamon butter was delightful and truly elevated the meal. The steak comes with a wide selection of side options, and the large side salad was enjoyed by both of us, although we did find it a bit salty—something I’ve never described a salad as before! It wasn’t bad, just unusual. The crawfish and corn bisque made for a very tasty appetizer, although, for some reason, it was garnished with a lemon. In summary, the food ranged from decent to quite good, so I’m giving this restaurant a 4-star rating. I would definitely recommend it as a must-visit spot if you’re within 50 miles, as there aren't many other options, and the overall experience is worthwhile. Oddly enough, the atmosphere gave me the impression that this should be a BBQ joint instead of a self-proclaimed steakhouse. For parents, there is a kids’ menu, which is a nice touch, although I thought $6.95 for a basic grilled cheese (American cheese on two slices of white bread with fries) seemed a bit steep. I was pleasantly surprised, however, to find that they have a changing table in the ladies' room, and it was notably higher than most changing tables, making it much more comfortable to use. (And I’m only 5’5”, so I can’t be the only one who appreciates that!) Bottom line: GO THERE! That said, I suspect their burgers might have been a better choice for me than the steak."
