"What was once owned by two settlers is now recently owned by a new family that decided to change nothing of the menu when purchased because of what a local favorite restaurant this is, and I can see why. Warm welcomes, great staff, amazing and well-priced drinks! No wonder this place is a spot for locals and travelers! My mom got the Greek breakfast, my father the biscuits and gravy and I got the chicken and waffles with ROSEMARY SYRUP. oh-em-geeeeeee that syrup was so good I think I'm going to start infusing my syrup with it at home! Seriously, what a great idea! Needless to say, we all devoured our delicious meals and my mom and I usually don't finish it but the lamb in her omelette was juicy and crispy that just perfected the omelette. Good chunks of meat in the gravy and a lovely, and not dry, biscuit underneath for my dads meal. I highly suggest coming here if you're in the area looking for a great breakfast with a hometown feel and an overall great experience. Look no further than MelRose! And you won't be disappointed!"

"Fish Fry Friday choices provide many different species of fish. Even more impressive is that most of them can be lightly breaded or even baked. We're not fans of the local competitor's beer batter that can be so thick, you have to search to find the actual fish. Even Mulligan's beer batter is just enough to enhance the fish. Who would think that an Irish Pub would have these many options? The only negative for this restaurant is the mobile app that sucks for so many reasons (but don't tell the owner, because he thinks it's great). If you order take-out, just call the professional and friendly staff, and your order will be ready to pick up when promised."

"Worst experience I have had in a loooooooooong time.. Had the Friday fish fry for lunch $12.95. The chef should have been embarrassed to send that plate out of the kitchen. It was three pieces of lake perch that were the size of curled up sardines and tasted like them, too. They looked more like very small potato wedges. My luncheon companion said I should have had something Italian. I did the pasta side with red sauce. It was tasteless. The waitress took our order and had to change parts of it three times before it agreed with what the kitchen was preparing. I have had MUCH better perch at other places for a whole lot less. "I ordered from DoorDash because I wanted it delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Because this store is completely incapable of timely deliveries. They had their own driver deliver instead of DoorDash... and nearly 30 minutes AFTER the expected ETA. Were so done ordering from this place. In the last year, we have NEVER received any of our orders in a timely manner. We thought wed give it a chance thinking it would be better with DoorDash, but nope. Never. Again. Its not worth the headache. Subway tastes better, is less expensive, and we actually get our orders quickly!"

"So I made a reservation but we ended up being the only people there. We did go on a Monday and our server said Mondays and Tuesday are always really slow. So definitely if you want to check them out and have a peaceful evening, those are the days to go. The server was friendly and answered all of our questions with patience. Three of ordered the lasagna, and one ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. They all came with nice salads and a basket of garlic bread for the table. Both were good. Simple garden salad and crispy garlic bread that isn't over-buttered leaving you with that greasy feeling. The one who ordered the spaghetti said it was wonderful. Those of us who ordered the lasagna had a mixed bag of reactions. One said it was perfect. The other said hers was too salty. I felt mine was a bit heavy on the garlic. Not so heavy that I'd send it back, but a bit more than I normally encounter. They make all of their sauces, but not their pasta. The prices are really resonable for the portions and presentation."

"Had Fish Fry and Breakfast both excellent!. Been there twice for fish fry and both times it was very good. First time we both had baked fish and the second time my hubby had fish fry and I had the perch. Both were excellent. The chef came out and talked to people at the tables and so did the owner. Everyone there was very friendly. Someone said the tables were wobbly, well you will be happy to know they have all new tables and chairs and they don't wobble!Today we were there for breakfast and both of us had steak and eggs. We thought our breakfast was very good but did think the service was a little slow for a AM breakfast and for a restaurant that was almost empty. They can improve on the speed of the service. This is an older building and has relatively new owners year). We have been satisfied with our visits but believe it is work in progress and believe people should be patient. My husband heard about this place through word of mouth and that is why we gave it a try times and never disappointed."

I ordered the pub burger. a half-pound, delicious patty, with good taste. comes with salad, tomaten, red wobbles and pommes. guinness on tap, together with others. "My husband's chicken was a bite raw. My meatloaf was ok had a little kick. The waitress was not a good waitress it took her 20 minutes to come and tack our order. She came over once to see if every thing was ok That's when hubby said his chicken was raw she took the chicken back to have it cook some more when she came with the chicken it was over doneThe dessert was not good cheesecake had no flavor and my carrot cake was very dry taste like it was 3 days oldAll in all. "This location has been my favorite for years but in our most recent visit (2 weeks ago) the inside of the restaurant needs a major maintenance job... chipped paint, Knicks in the wall, the TV is now gone and there's a tacky hole, the floor needs a good scrub, the women's restroom was not very clean this time. We went here for lunch and ordered our food, we were told the ice machine was broken so no ice for sodas, the food was good but the look and feel of the atmosphere made us feel as if they're closing this location. Hope they freshen things up."
