"Brusters is a sweatshop not a sweet shop. My daughter worked at Brusters in Gibsonia for a couple of weeks and still has not received pay that is due to her. Matter of fact, her first paycheck was for $2.91. Upset, she contacted the owner, GlennPilarski, he said it ?looked right and he will explain taxes? to her. From that day forward, he ignored any of her messagesquestioning the error in pay. After letting them know that we plan to contact Pittsburgh DOL Wages and Hours division, wereceived a call from Glenn?s daughter, Sara, who co-manages the shop. She spoke very quickly and now claims it is the paycheckcompany?s fault for the incorrect pay and they are ?at the mercy of the paycheck company to correct this.? It is almost July, and our daughter is still owed over $100 for training hours worked in April/May 2022. Something is certainly not right atBrusters in Gibsonia, and I would like other parents in the area to be aware of this. For a moment, I liked the rules andrespect they demand of their young employees, but I also thought they would be returning it. There are plenty of otherpart-time job options and employers that will pay teens for their work. I would steer clear of this one."
