"I ordered the chimichangas, but unfortunately, they were disappointing. They arrived soggy instead of crispy. They were topped with cold sour cream, lettuce, pico de gallo, and shredded cheese, along with a watery white queso. Everything ended up cold and unappetizing. I was surprised that the cold toppings were mixed in with the hot dish. Overall, I was not impressed. I ordered takeout for dinner, and the experience didn't meet my expectations."

"Went here for the first time for a birthday dinner. It was not crowded , was seated right away and the staff and server were pleasant. We ordered the sliced beef brisket meal. Tender , slightly smoky and a savory sweet bbq sauce. This is not like a TX brisket with the heavy smoke flavor but very good in its own right.very generous serving. The spicy mac n cheese was very cheesy with a Italian kind of flare. But....the star of the show was the Poutine. I will be back for this dish guaranteed! Little potato wedges and fried cheese curds topped with savory brown gravy and melt in your mouth roast beef! So delicious! Yum!"

"We traveled an hour to try a new place this place did not disappoint. In addition to awesome tasting food and very fast service we had one of the best servers! "I visited the restaurant today and had a mostly positive experience. The pancakes were good, typical of what you'd find at any restaurant, but they were huge! While the eggs were a bit below expectations, they were average for a diner. On the bright side, the chicken sausage was fantastic, and the breakfast potatoes were exceptional. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. The staff was also very friendly."

"I order two route 44s all the time and even ask for them to be put in a drink carrier and they’ll say ok but still don’t put them in a carrier if someone has multiple drinks just put it in a carrier for them because even if they got two cup holders in their car, those route 44s won’t sit in them together because the top of the cups are too big and they end up pushing against each other Service: 1"

"The drive-thru staff forgot our drinks. The happy meal box was convenient for our car ride with kids. The take-out service was ok. We had lunch and spent $10-20 per person. The food was rated 4 out of 5, service was 3 out of 5, and the atmosphere was also a 3 out of 5. We recommend trying the Happy Meal."

"Every time i visit this location which lately is about 3 times a week the food quality declines more and more. Sometimes the food ordered has no sauce or is missing an ingredient. They never have dr pepper and any of the other sodas ordered in place of Dr pepper is usually flat with no carbonation. The fryer is always down and they never have nacho fries. I have had to circle back around through the drive thru on several occasions as they have forgotten something in the order. As a result I'm going to find a new after work resturant to eat at. I know that people make mistakes but this happens every single time I go there and at this point I'm beginning to think that the employees don't care about their job . For the price taco bell charges there should be no excuse for lacking in quality."

"Date: June 1, 2024, 11:30 AM. We dined in for the buffet. The food was perfectly seasoned across the board. We tried the honey chicken, General Tso's chicken, salt and pepper chicken, chow mein, fried rice, Cajun chicken and shrimp, salt and pepper potatoes, fried catfish, sushi, crab salad, and more. Everything was delicious, including the fried foods; their corn nuggets were especially good. And let me tell you about the cabbage—absolutely incredible! The service was excellent; we felt well attended to without being intrusive. My boyfriend and I have been to numerous Chinese buffets, and I would rate this one a solid 9.5 out of 10. My only minor critique is that there isn't as much variety compared to the Chinese buffet in Jackson, TN. However, the quality of the dishes here is definitely higher."

"Let me start by saying under the recent ownership this place was the gem of Humboldt. The food was delicious and the staff was beyond amazing.I recently visited under the new ownership. The food was horrible. It took us 30 minutes to get drip coffee. There were two women working and both seemed to be totally oblivious to what they were doing.They had no situational awareness. They had no manners, and they were literally not able to properly communicate with customers. They moved slowly and without purpose. It was the oddest thing I had ever seen at a restaurant.The food was brought out one plate at a time and was not good at all. Some of it actually tasted of cleaner. Over half our table just stopped eating.The two women were not apologetic and did not seem to care. I saw both of them in the kitchen laughing and goofing off while they were presumably busy working.This was the worst service I have ever had anywhere. This is very sad as under the previous owners this place was incredible….as fine a place as you would find in any large city.The new owners will not be in business very long if they don’t get a handle on staffing.I hope they are able to make a 180 degree course correct. Do not waste your money here if things don’t change. We wasted $60.I hope for the sake of the new ownership and the town of Humboldt that The Coffee Shop can get on track.In fact I am not leaving this review at all to complain. I am leaving it for the benefit of the new owner. If I ran a new business and my staff were this incompetent I would want to know immediately. I want the new owners to be prosperous, and I want The Coffee Shop to do well.The two women who were there doing nothing productive told us the owners were out of town which was quite obvious considering our experience."

"Maybe 2.5 stars today? Has potential I didn 't partake in, re smoked meat dishes, but, for me, it fell short of three stars for the price point. Not a lot of interesting options along the way nearby. Pass through here several times a month. Pictures posted here G weren 't accurate? Bacon cheese burger came with two, not four strips of bacon. They were pedestrian at best, nothing special. Saw a picture of 6 boneless wings in three flavors. I was told they are only available as one flavor per six. Ok. They were the daily special. Water had some funky sweetened flavor to it, possibly residual from the bar gun? I don 't know, but, it soured my appetite right off. The flavor of the burger patty was good, and the boneless wings were solid white meat. I 'd bet the smoked meat dishes would satisfy moreso. I know a couple sure things in Mitchell and likely to stick to them. I only ordered the bacon as it seemed hyped up as something special. That shortage and the funky ice water left me with regrets. I MAY roll the dice and try a steak or ribs someday. Service was friendly and straight-forward and I appreciate that."

The place was clean and the service was friendly but when we asked for salsa we were told they didn’t have any and the waitress looked as like we were from another planet for asking for it The queso was plain cheese with no seasoning. Our food was sloppy and had no seasoning. We couldn’t finish our food and had to leave our plates uneaten."
