"Still a Winner!. A little back story: I last visited this delightful establishment 2 decades ago. Back then, they had a wonderful dish on the regular menu of calf's liver sauteed in a raspberry vinaigrette reduction. I would take people here who swore up and down that they hated liver and would bet them that they would love it the way it was prepared here. I never lost that bet! Finding ourselves en route from South Beach to Palm Beach last night in terrible traffic, hunger overtook us and we decided (i.e. my girlfriend insisted) to revisit the Brazilian Steakhouse Gaucho Rodizio which had pleasantly surprised us just last month. Boy, were we surprised to find the door chained and a note scrawled on a manila file folder affixed to the door announcing their closure. Ah, well, such is the restaurant business the world over. After a few U-turns I noticed a familiar strip mall that I had not been to in 20 years and there was Le Bistro after all these years, just as I remembered it. We took a chance at 7:15 and went inside without a reservation. We were immediately shown to a delightful table by the window and were extremely well taken care by the professional staff. Somehow she managed to order a bottle of still water before I had my napkin on my lap. The wine list was a delight and we ordered a bottle of Prosecco that while a bit dry for her tastes, suited me just fine. We proceeded to devour the assiette of 3 cheeses. The Stilton made one pucker (in a good way) and the Taleggio was excellent. The presentation was very well done with a dollop of honeycomb and toasted almonds. Also, the in house baked bread was wonderful as was the dish of olives that disappeared before I could try even one (she was VERY hungry). We followed that up with a delicious Duck Soup that we shared. It appeared a little thin to me at first, but after one bite I was immediately impressed. For dinner they had a special dish I just couldn't resist. It was a bone-in veal chop in a white mushroom sauce and it was absolutely perfectly cooked and presented. For her, it was the Grouper en papillote that had the most delicious combination of cilantro and ginger sprinkled on top. Both of our plates were clean when we were finished. I don't know where we found the room ,but we ended the evening with the Grand assiette of dessert sampler which included homemade strawberry gelato, creme brulee (very cutely served in an espresso cup), a chocolate mousse that was amazing and an apple tart that was just perfect. It was a wonderful night and we were well satiated to continue on to Palm Beach for cocktails where all we talked about was how great our dinner was! It's a remarkable achievement for a restaurant to be able to retain it's superiority after 20 years and I commend the new owners for following up and carrying forward such a tradition of excellence."

"I ate here on Sunday Nov 5, 2023. The ambience in this place is great. Right on the water, overlooking a beautiful sunset. The food is excellent. My wife had the lobster roll, and I had the Cuban Sandwich, started it off with a plate of truffle fries. While you're not going to find much beyond the gastropub style of food on the menu, it is all prepared very well and it comes out quickly. The happy hour specials on drinks are very reasonable, and the overall bill is reasonably priced. However, I might never have found this place if it wasn't for Sandy, the hostess. My wife and I were walking along the dock with our dog, starting to get that evening rumbling in our belly, and Sandy (hope I got her name right) greeted us and quite frankly, barked us in. She assured us that the restaurant was dog friendly and even pointed out the doggy menu for our pup, Madam President. If it wasn't for her, we probably would have never come in and given it a try. While we were eating, I saw her do the same for several other couples. I wish I had employees who were as outgoing and passionate about my business as she is about the restaurant. It helped that the food and service were great, but I will definitely be coming back because of the soul of the staff that invited us in, and leaving this review so the owner is aware of how great their staff is if they don't already know."

"We had a party of eight, and I must say, the service was impeccable. Every staff member we encountered was fantastic—helpful, responsive, and even anticipatory of our needs. There was a salad bar with two tables full of options for those who wanted to start with that, and while some in our group indulged in the salads, others saved their appetites for the meats. I took a stroll around the bar and savored some cheeses, olives, and a few appetizers but mostly skipped the hot side dishes like spinach, polenta, and rice and beans. The restaurant uses a clever system with chips you flip from red to green to signal when you want more food or need a break. You can also specifically request various types of meats. I prefer my meat well done, and once they knew that, they ensured to offer me the right options. Out of all the meats I tried, the lamb chops and flank steak were my favorites. My husband particularly enjoyed the cinnamon-crusted roast pineapple and the leg of lamb. The only disappointment was the chicken wrapped in bacon; it wasn’t bad, just slightly drier compared to all the other delicious offerings. The birthday girl brought her own cake, which the staff kindly cut for us after we sang and she blew out her candles. Overall, this was one of the better group dining experiences I've had. While it’s a bit on the pricier side, it was definitely worth it for such a special occasion."

"Don't go to this place after 9pm. Slowest drive through ever. They didn't consider using both speakers. Possible do to skin color. Worst service I've ever received. Lady in the pink jacket smelled like poop. Seems like she had an extra chromosome. Ordered a caramel frappe she handed me a chocolate Sunday. I don't know what smelled worst her or the fillet of fish. Not to mention the whole store reeked of marijuana. Guy at the cash register was lighting up a joint. He says he runs fades for 20 bucks, I don't know if thats how he gets most of his money. The manager was tweaking, had a little white powder on his shirt. Personally I didn't know it snowed in Florida. Its crazy how you order a ten piece and open the box and theres only nine. Most of these people clearly didn't make it out of high-school. The guy in the bathroom needs to start working on there chicken nuggets, they didn't give the chicken nuggets a hair cut. While waiting for your food you can get a hair cut in the bathroom which is pretty cool. At least the guy cutting the hair had a business permit. Shout out to my boy Daiquiris he lined me up like a mother fucker. Perfect time to blow off 30 minutes. Speaking of blowing the manager was definitely high off coke. Homeless people are lucky they pay nothing to stay in there. The manager must have a lot friends so many died flies. On 4k tray dude didn't take my 20 bucks. Next time you pull up look for a dude with a black eye. I tried using the their restroom poop all over the walls, so I decided to poop in there sink."

"Dinner reservations were honored in an empty restaurant on Friday night. When we decided to review the menu and make small conversations with our waitress, which is the co-owner, it seemed insulting that we were asking how it was connected to a French restaurant. We ordered our appetizers they were great. The Entrees were another story. My middle rare steak came well. The server wanted to pour the sauce up and I asked her to be on the side. She told me we didn't do this. I said I don't want the whole sauce up, so please leave it on the side. I guess she wanted to pour up the sauce to cover that my steak, the medium rarely ordered, was well done. She then told me when I asked to give it back, she would check in the kitchen to see if it was actually overcooked. When she returned to explain to me that the steak was overcooked and the problem was that it was left too long in the plastic wrap, in it, they wanted to make me another one. My husband at this point had already finished his meal. We left the restaurant and the next day received a phone call asking if they could charge us an additional $30 because they had charged us the night before. Not sure what happened to this restaurant, but it's not what it used to be. Never in my life I had a restaurant calling me to tell me that they charged when the amount that she was charged was less than the amount that we tipped."
