"Just finished eating here.First of, it’s about time that Midland got a Mediterranean Restaurant, so that’s a big plus. I’ve been flying through here for 9 years and this is the first time to see a Mediterranean option on Google maps. Well done. Now for the food.To be fair, I’m spoiled by all the good Mediterranean restaurants in the DFW area, so take this with a grain of salt or some garlic sauce and Tzaziki, lol.I ordered the Lamb Gyro over Saffron rice, with the side choice of hummus and a salad of Tabouli, and “Iraqi tea.”The first impression was that for the price, the portions were ok, maybe a tad small, but that’s ok. I was a bit surprised that it came in plastic containers and we weren’t initially provided with utensils, which would be an immediate service improvement. The gyro meat didn’t taste very strongly of lamb, but was nicely seasoned and certainty not bad. It was on top of the rice with some tomatoes and yogurt sauce. The saffron rice was good, and I chose to mix it with the hummus, which turned out nicely. The hummus itself was a tad bland, but definitely not bad. It favors those who aren’t into as many spices like the hummus with paprika on top that I had last night in Dallas. The tabouli which is a favorite dish of mine was the biggest letdown as it was reasonably expensive for the amount in the plastic bowl, and also a bit bland. A bit more lemon juice or something would help it tremendously.Overall, it’s probably three and a half stars for me, but I’m giving this a four instead of a three, because it’s currently the best Mediterranean food at a restaurant in Midland or anywhere nearby and perhaps it will improve as they get established.Regarding the Iraqi Tea it basically tasted identical to the Earl Gray tea I had back in Dallas before the flight."

"Saltgrass was never on our list of restaurants to try. In fact, we had never heard of it before that is until we found ourselves wandering around Midland, TX while trying to figure out where exactly our hotel was LOL. When we spotted Saltgrass, we then realized that we were really hungry so we decided to give it a try. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and seated, then given menus. When our server came to our table, the first thing she asked is if we had Landry rewards and that's how we found out it was part of their group. Later on, I looked up Saltgrass and found out it was Houston based. Most of the Saltgrass restaurants are located in TX. FWIW, the closest one to where we live is in Knightdale, NC. To drink, I had sweet tea which turned out to be weak with little flavor. My husband had water. We both ordered the 6 oz. Maureen's filet. It comes with two sides. I had a salad with honey mustard dressing plus a baked potato. My husband had a salad with ranch plus he threw in an extra side having broccoli and a baked potato. Each table gets a small loaf of bread. I found the honey mustard dressing to be too tangy. We both liked the bread which seemed to taste like there were raisins in it. Yet, we made sure to not each much so as to have room for the main course. Their menu reminded us of Outback's yet Salt Grass is a bit more upscale. The filets were perfectly cooked and very tender. The sides were properly prepared. We were quite full and had no room for dessert. Overall, service was excellent. If we ever are lost and wandering around somewhere and come across another Salt Grass, we wouldn't hesitate to have dinner there again :"

"I’m flew in from Houston to Midland on a work project for a week. Yesterday some of the people on the project started feeling under the weather (sneezing, stuffy, runny noses, coughing). We all believe it is from the dust and dirt from the move project. I wanted some comfort food and some recommended Tokyo1. I found the Noodle House on Andrews Highway and decided to dine there because it’s a small business and it is always a pleasure to dine in small establishments as you find many jewels that way. I should have realized as soon as I walked in the door things were not going to go very well. Once seated I was asked what I’d like to drink. I asked if they had hot tea for my throat. The waitress abruptly said, “NO! THESE ARE THE DEINKS WE HAVE!” She slammed a menu on the table before me and pointed at the soft drinks. I passed on the soft drinks and asked for water no ice. The waitress brought me a blue cup with water and there were bubbles on top of the water. I was not sure if the cup was not completely rinsed of soap or what the problem was. After a bit, the bubbles subsided and there was this white sediment or film in the top of the water. Needless to say, I did not drink the water. The waitress immediately asked for my order. I ordered the chicken Tonkotsu ramen. As I ate and patrons left, they were all greeted as they left with a Goodbye or Bye. I asked for a to go container for the noodles I did not finish. The waitress gave me a bowl to go, no bag, no to go utensils. I signed my check and started toward the door. I did not get a Bye or Good Bye greeting as I left as the other patrons. Made me feel good that I did not leave a tip at all. The food was mediocre … I’ve had better in smaller cities like Conroe, TX. I will never everrrrrr recommend this establishment to anyone. If you’re looking for good food and hospitality…THE NOODLE HOUSE ON ANDREWS HIGHWAY IN MIDLAND, TX IS NOT THE ESTABLISHMENT! As I write this review, I must also say that I noticed I was the only person of color in the establishment at the time. Maybe “My Kind” are not welcomed in that particular location, who knows, but what I do know is I will NEVER EVERRRRR spend my money at ANY NOODLE HOUSE and I do not care where it is located! WORST SERVICE EVERRRRRRR!!! Two thumbs down ????"
