"My family of three visited this Subway on a Sunday at 5 PM, and we found ourselves in a line with about eight other customers who arrived at the same time, some even waiting outside. There were only two employees working, and we stood in line for 20 minutes while they focused solely on fulfilling online orders. One after another, they continued to make sandwiches for online customers. Eventually, the woman in front of me asked when they planned to serve those of us waiting in person. The employee simply shrugged and apologized, explaining that their policy required them to prioritize online orders. This prompted groans from the rest of us, with a few customers voicing their frustration about standing there while they continued to handle online orders. The employee confirmed that this was indeed their approach. Several of us decided to leave in response.
Additionally, I observed that the other employee was not changing his gloves. He touched the beverage cooler and then proceeded to make sandwiches without changing them. It seems to me that in-person customers should take priority over online orders, or at least they should alternate between the two. The lack of consideration for in-person customers and the poor hygiene practices made for an incredibly frustrating experience. I have no plans to return to this Subway in Sergeant Bluff."
