"Today (8/17/24) was the first time we have ever been to any Sunrise Bistro, and it definitely will not be the last! We were a party of four adults, two teenage girls, and a 4-year-old. Cinda kept everything smoothly without being overbearing, made some excellent recommendations, and just overall represented the establishment in the most excellent way. Kudos, Cinda! Now for the things we tried and what we thought. Bacon Wrapped Hushpuppies: 7 hushpuppies on the plate with cajun honey butter. Delicious and fresh. Not enough for a large party like we had, definitely should have ordered two or three! Nutty Crepe: Excellent crepe with Nutella in it. The berries were very, very fresh! Farmer's Open Faced Omelet: Every single ingredient was super fresh and the omelet was cooked to perfection. Great flavor mix from the ham, potatoes, onions, and peppers and the pepper jack/cheddar cheese blend really makes a difference in a great way. BYO Burger: This was more medium and not cooked well-done as ordered, but still delicious. The cajun fries make a great side. The toppings, just like everything else, were the freshest around. Crisp lettuce and onion and juicy tomato. Chicken Waffles: Waffles had good flavor, but fairly standard. What really stood out was the chicken. Light, fluffy breading with a crispy texture and fabulous flavor. Combined with the waffles and syrup... you just have to try it! *chef's kiss* French Toast: You can definitely taste the nutmeg and it is some of the best we have tried. Highly recommended if you like French Toast! Chicken Florentine Shrimp Grits: The shrimp was so fresh and has zero fishy flavor/smell to it. Cooked to perfection and didn't alter the taste of the rest of the dish. The grits were creamy and the sauce was to die for. The biscuit was fresh and a perfect substitution for the toast to dip into the leftover sauce at the bottom of the bowl. Even the ones at the table who don't like grits tried and liked it. Highly recommended! Country Fried Steak Benedict: Everything was cooked to perfection and, oddly enough, the collards were the standout on this dish. Full of flavor and absolutely amazing. The fried steak was simply phenomenal and the hollandaise had a great taste to it. Coffee Bar: Great concept! An option or two of creamer would be a nice addition, but excellent choices of coffee flavors. If you love coffee, you simply can't go wrong with this."
