54th Street - Carte

Like it was just take out but damn it was ready. It was packaged properly. It didn't leak out. It was hot and the staff was super friendly. Okay? Well I only talked to the front door person, nevermind, so I don't know about the rest of the stuff but they seem like they were great. They were all smiling, so that counts right. ?

They have a large beer selection and decent food. My sirloin bowl was very chewy not sure where they get beef. Some bartenders are great, I sat at the bar on travel for work alone. Some walk by empty beers for several long minutes 5-10 without saying a word. They seem to have favorite people. About 6 bartenders and 2 check on customers. Could cut half your crewAnd be fine based on more pressing issues like socialization.

Good service, food and drinksIt's what you expect at a 54th Street or these type of bar and grill type restaurants with moderate prices.I had a few meetings here and service was great and was not loud so we could talk.I expect to come here often.Does get packed sometimes but I have not had to wait much at all, or normally just go to their bar where you can order food from as well as you wait for a table if there is a line. I really enjoyed eating at this location. The restaurant was very clean. Service was outstanding; and by outstanding, I mean the waiter had the perfect balance of checking in and not smothering. He also kept the drinks refilled and when my cook was not what I wanted, he informed management for them to have the kitchen re-cook the fish( after I told him, I was ok, to forget it.)Out of all the 54th Street Restaurants, this is The Best!!

I initially sat at the bar, but the bartender had terrible customer service. He handed us a menu, removed two glasses from the bar, and left the wet mess where I was sitting without cleaning it up. His attitude was extremely unprofessional. I decided to leave the bar area and moved to the dining section, where my server was fantastic. She really improved my experience and saved this review from being just one star. I wouldn't recommend sitting at the bar.

I enjoy this location because it is just a few miles from home which makes it quite convenient. So far I've been impressed with the service and delicious food. My friends I really enjoy the patio, especially with cool weather. The Happy Hour at 54th is probably one of the best in San Antonio. The appetizers and drinks are more than fairly discounted. 54th Street really prides itself in cleanliness which I truly appreciate.I highly recommend this location if you're in the area. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. To begin with, the service left much to be desired. I ordered an 8oz steak with a baked potato, but the steak was tough and lacked any flavor. The baked potato arrived completely cold, and the butter wouldn’t even melt on it. My wife opted for a French dip sandwich, but the meat in hers was also tasteless. In total, our bill came to $65 for just two meals, two drinks, and one appetizer of mozzarella sticks. This felt extremely overpriced considering the quality of the food. I likely won't be returning here.

This was our third trip going to this location. First two times were great. This time, I ordered a medium rare steak. This is what I got.... I tried to just eat it and I even used A1 sauce to try and manage it but I do not like my steaks rare. I took one bite and was disgusted. I let the waitress know and she sent it back. I 'm assuming the kitchen manager came back with it and apologized. Even gave use a free appetizer gift card for next time. I took home the newly cooked steak and had it for left overs at work the next day and it was still so red in the middle. From now on, I will only order steak at steak houses. I 'm grateful the staff was so friendly and kind but I was very disappointed...

The taste of our lunch was on spot as it always is with 54th. The minor issues started with the hostess walking us to a table, laying the menus down and saying here ya go. That's was ignored by my group as we didn't mind worrying about it. The other small issue that surfaced was the server came to our table 2 times. Once for drinks and once for our order. She never came back. I had to ask her passing me if she wouldn't mind getting us more water (yes, i said excuse me, when you have a moment would you mind getting us some water). Which she did nicely (so i guess 3 times she visited). But we all noticed our server and other servers walking around talking on their phones in the dining room eve... Voir le carte
