Really nice place on the water with good views. The decor is pretty cool with old black and white photos of movies. The food is good and the bar is large and very busy. Has keno which is a plus! Prime Rib is the BEST! The special cocktails are really good too! They change seasonally i look forward to every season to see the new menu! Staff is super friendly they are all happy and smiling and work so good together. It's just a friendly happy vibe in there. We love it and frequent once or twice a week! I go here at least twice a week. Carolina chicken is great. Love the taco salad. Best fried pickles ever. Only complaint is they just changed the pickles on the sandwich. New one suck. This place is obnoxious. It's so loud you can't even think. The speakers are blaring and they have some guy singing at top volume while you are trying to eat. So unnecessary. They could have the volume at normal level not concert level since it's. Restaurant. Went to the 550 Tavern for lunch today. I got the daily special Corned Beef Reuben. I have had many of these types of sandwiches and this one was the worst yet. It was literally like biting on fatty leather and after a few tries, I lost my appetite. I’ve tried several times to like this restaurant but I’m always disappointed. I read a negative review about the picklesthey were honestly the only decent part of my meal. Also waitress was extremely slow and hardly saw her to ask for extra napkins or ketchup. Extremely disappointing all around today!

The 550 tavern has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The waitstaff are all really attentive. They have the best and most amazing tasting pizza on this side of the Missiasippi. They have some really good drafts and mixed drinks are not skimpy with flavor or alcohol. The only meal I would never order again is the scallops. For $25 I felt like I really got ripped off. The scallops were sitting in a dish of melted watery margarine with zero flavor. I've never seen a dish like that served anywhere. It wont keep me from eating there but seriously they need to take scallops off the menu or else learn how to cook them. I love the 550 all day long but facts are facts and this needs to be addressed.

It's gone way downhill. Sorry! I recently decided to try it out for takeout and had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come ring me up, despite the fact that they were dead bar customers only. By the time I got the food home it was cold and tasted so saturated with grease! I had gone there some years back and ordered tater tots, and they were so amazing that first time that I thought I'd get them again with some fish. Uggh! These new funny shaped ones were terrible! Not to mention the last time I went, it was hoppin'! The service was so good! It was such a disappointment this time. It was like visiting a friend you haven't seen in years, and the last time you saw them they were physically fit... Voir le carte
