"What a refreshing change from the current glut of depressing, poorly run, impersonable establishments that are so common nowadays. Seriously... it feels like traveling back in time to a better day. Dang! I am officially old, feeling like this. Staff is super friendly, helpful and cheery. The bread and pastries are awesome and the coffee is good. Day old loaves of bread are only $3.75. Cannot recommend enough!"

"Cheers to my first dinner in Olde Town Arvada! It was a big decision since I just moved here. My partner and I had a few options but eventually chose Bluegrass. We parked a few blocks away to take a little stroll through Arvada before heading to the restaurant. When we arrived, there was music playing, and we were lucky to find a bench available on the back patio. I was too tired for bourbon, but I definitely plan to come back for that. I opted for a cocktail and ordered the Italian Sub Pinwheels. I wasn't in the mood for pizza, but these are quite similar. I'm a fan of calzones, and these are like mini versions, filled with pepperoni, salami, garlic, olive oil, and pesto, accompanied by house marinara on the side. They were really tasty, although some parts were a bit too burnt. Nonetheless, it was a hearty meal. The service was quick and efficient, and I really enjoyed the live music. I can't wait to make this place a regular haunt."

"So I suppose it's up to the manager of a restaurant whether to replace a returned entree at no extra charge the customer for the uneaten food. Whatever the policy at Sakana (we didn't ask when we saw the item in question added to our bill, we didn't feel like getting into an argument), we still found the attitude of the server when my girlfriend didn't enjoy her spicy miso ramen to be unacceptable. Instead of simply offering a replacement when my girlfriend explained that she couldn't taste any miso in the broth, the lady server told us that the miso ramen tasted as intended and that adding more paste to the broth would make it too salty. It still didn't taste very good, but whatever. Fine. My gf orders the curry ramen instead. It's pretty decent, nothing to write home about. At the end of the meal, we get charged full price for the spicy miso even tho all she ate of it was the egg added at additional cost. Did not mention this before the bill came out. We probably would've moved on without complaint if we hadn't been talked down to when trying to replace the order or had the return policy more clearly explained to us. Will not be coming back due to this experience. I've been to better and more expensive restaurants that return and replace an entree, no questions asked, especially when -you didn't eat it-. I've had $50 steaks taken back without being charged, but you're gonna die on the hill of your watery $15 ramen? No thx. The food, for the most part, is okay. My tonkutsu ramen broth was acceptable, tho my pork was overcooked. My gf's replacement curry ramen was better than the spicy miso, but it was not great. It did have tasty fried chicken, but very few other ingredients besides noodles and spinach. She wasn't so into it. Where the cuisine shines is the sushi. The fish tastes like it's well sourced and is adequately competitive for the price range. We didn't love the ramen experience, but we were actually considering coming back just for the sushi before we saw that they'd charged us for the returned food. The shrimp shumai appetizer was tasty but a little skimpy on the portions, four tiny dumplings for $8 or $9. Ultimately, Sakana is worth going to if you just want sushi and don't mind a somewhat cramped and loud atmosphere during peak hours and a snooty attitude from the staff. "La nourriture est excellente. Le propriétaire est très accueillant. Cependant, à chaque fois que je suis allé à Namaste, le serveur a eu du mal à comprendre ma commande, ce qui rend les choses inconfortables. J'aime vraiment cet endroit et j'aimerais que plus de gens le sachent. C'est un restaurant très solitaire, ce qui signifie qu'il n'a pas beaucoup de clients à manger. J'espère certainement que l'activité de report est bonne car ce serait dommage pour ce restaurant de fermer ses portes"

"This was probably the best gyro I've ever tasted. It had a delightful kick, with a subtle vinegar flavor that I found really appealing. The lamb had crispy edges from the griddle yet remained juicy, and the tzatziki sauce was excellent. The fries were lightly battered and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered a large pepperoni pizza, which was delicious, featuring generous slices of deli-style pepperoni. It was loaded with cheese, and we absolutely adored the crust. We arrived late on a Tuesday night, about half an hour before closing, but the staff was incredibly welcoming, fun, and friendly. I will definitely return when I'm in the area again."
