"I have to say, I'm quite particular about my food, but this restaurant is amazing! I ended up ordering from them three times in two days through Postmates. The second time, I thought I had ordered enough to last me, but it was just too tasty to resist, even though the portions were generous. Everyone at work, including my students (I’m a junior high teacher), kept commenting on how incredible my burrito looked! Haha, I just can't get enough of it! The food arrives hot and fresh, even when the delivery driver has trouble finding my apartment. I'm really impressed!"

The chicken was rather dry, the pita was thin, dry, and cold, and there wasn’t enough sauce at all.

Amazing Gyros! I was looking for a new gyro spot and Als may be top 3 I?ve had! Juicy and flavorful meat in an overstuffed sandwich for 10 bucks w/ fries? Yes please.

Al's is my favorite restaurant in Houston! The circulatory plate is one of my personal favorites, but everything I've tried has been amazing. The customer service is outstanding! I highly recommend it!

I wanted to try the food. very tasty and at a good price. the sandwich has so much meat and the French pommes were nicely fed and crispy. the chefs and the owner were also super nice. highly recommended. they get very good food quality at a low price! (my whole meal was $11) Voir le carte

It's always a breath of fresh air to discover spots that haven't succumbed to the usual "Heights" vibe. AL Quick Stop has been around for a long time, and there's a solid reason for its enduring success—it's fantastic! The lamb gyro is full of flavor, juicy, and served in a soft pita that all come together wonderfully.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet, especially since I've been a fan for ten years! The food is absolutely perfect—made quickly but with great care and attention. The staff are truly dedicated, whether they're retrieving something they missed or serving you the best gyros or chicken shawarma in Houston. Treat them kindly, and they will remember you. This Montrose spot is a real treasure, and I hope it stays around for many more years!

Im VERY picky. This place is so amazing that I?ve ordered on Postmates for them 3 times in 2 days. The second time, I thought I ordered the enough to last, but no because it was too good despite the portions being large?everyone at work, including mystudents (I'm a junior high teacher) kept saying my burrito looked so good. lol my main love is the quesadilla! It arrives HOT &FRESH even when the Postmates deliverer has a hard time finding my apartment. I?m so impressed! A lol Voir le carte

The falafel sandwich was quite good; the falafel was freshly fried, but the sandwich was a little on the dry side. The restaurant could benefit from some improvements, as the seating area lacks a warm atmosphere, especially with tables positioned near the detergent aisle. It would really enhance the experience if the store layout were adjusted so that the food aisles faced the dining area. Furthermore, I would appreciate it if the meat options were halal, which is a common offering in many Middle Eastern restaurants.

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
