my son and I had lunch here on Sunday 6/24 and let them tell them that we were not disappointed, aprils place serves old school soul food as usual, they took me back up in miami, where they can get all kinds of eating at any other time. if they are looking for a place that serves fresh homemade great meals aprils place is a place to come I am excited to try their meat-leaved next time. ps the sides also break!

I finally went to April 's Southern Bistro Restaurant u0026 Bar. I ordered 3 fried chicken wings, collard greens, and string beans. NOT a fan. The chicken wings were season very will, but the size of the wings was meant for toddlers (not exaggerating). The collard greens were very salty and bitter. The green beans were ON POINT! The cornbread muffin was dried out and hard as if they were not making any more for the evening (no excuse – still open for service). The price I paid was NOT worth the portion. ¯ (ツ) ¯

As I waited for my dinner, I finished my drink. When I got to my car and began to eat, I was shocked. The collard greens, cabbage, and green beans were incredibly salty—I couldn’t eat them at all. The dark meat of the fried chicken was somewhat edible, though it was a bit over-fried. However, the roasted chicken breast was so hard and dry that I couldn't even finish it. As for the oxen? It was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like it had been cooked and reheated a week prior. I have no intention of coming back. The place has potential, but I won't be returning. Voir le carte

For the time it was in the price I would? ve expected something better. I ordered dice steak and engraving and got nothing but a few dice steaks and it is dry. And my son?s chicken was still bleeding!! I contacted the manager this morning and she apologized and said she would correct the situation and call me back? You don't have to say that they still hate?t returned the call! Stay far away from this place!!!! Update: the manager Lisa just called and said they would refund me if I took my review down!!! Absolutely not! It is my experience and I?m calling the health department on Monday!!!!

Not worth the drive. Feels like a hair salon rather than a bar or restaurant. My husband got smothered pork chops which seemed very much smothered a day or two before very over cooked and the rice is definitely minute rice. (Idk what I was expecting lol) Mac n cheese was ok. I got the fried chicken meal potato salad green beans. The green beans were seasoned to perfection I loveee me some good green beans. I didn’t enjoy the potato salad at all it gave me a seafood taste I couldn’t get into and the chicken would have gotten an 9/10 if the two waiters in there weren’t scared to ask the other table for the hot sauce I was craving. I visited on a Friday, as I passed, I thought I’d stop in for a drink. I say this gracefully, save your time and money. Everyone is nice but the service is beyond slow, my drink (Pineapple-Mango Lemon Drop) was below average at best, it was filled with juice. There’s no way the young lady that made it knows how to make drinks. I ordered 3 piece catfish w/fries: the fries had to be refried, they were filled with grease and although the fish looked pretty, it was fried so hard that I could only eat the center. I waited 40-45 minutes for my plate and once I got it, after a few minutes of waiting, I had to step to the bar to ask for silverware, napkins and condiments. My total was about $30 I le...
