"I really struggle to understand how this restaurant has good reviews. We are staying in Keokuk for the week, and our hotel has numerous ads promoting this place, claiming that they deliver to the hotel. However, when we called to place an order, the hostess rudely informed us that she has worked there for over a year and had never heard of the restaurant delivering to anyone.
Accepting this, we decided to try another place that would deliver. Later, since we needed to run some errands and had our dogs with us, we figured we’d give Dr. Getwell's another shot and order takeout. I called them again, hoping to place a to-go order as their ads suggest. Unfortunately, yet again, I was told that they were too busy to handle takeout orders and that unless we sat down to eat there, they couldn’t assist us.
I understand that restaurants can get busy and that hotel advertisements might be outdated, but if your marketing materials boast about being rated the best in various food categories and claim to offer dine-in, carryout, and delivery, you need to make some adjustments. It would be better to either update the ads or refrain from making such grand claims when you’re unable to follow through."
