"This used to be a great place, but it 's gone downhill, although I don 't necessarily believe the owner can do anything about it. Food costs are sky-high and no one in our area wants a job, no matter what the pay. The restaurant was about 3/4 full, so it was busy but not crazy. I had bourbon chicken, with asparagus and twice-baked potato. The chicken was pretty good, but the asparagus was tough and tasteless. The potato was cold and tasteless. Our friendly and professional waiter was wonderful, until she disappeared sometime during the middle of our meal. We finished eating, then waited over 40 minutes to get our checks. Someone finally went and found her. After we paid, it was over 20 minutes until we got our cards and receipts back. We waited over an hour altogether, which was far too long. I don 't know if anyone was actually at fault or not, but I found the wait completely unacceptable and probably won 't be going back any time soon."

"What a delightful little spot! This restaurant serves wonderful hometown, home-cooked meals. We were just passing through when we decided to give it a try. From the outside, it resembles a warehouse, but inside, it transforms into a charming café with a friendly atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and there was a great variety of menu options. The food was both delicious and comforting. We would definitely stop by again whenever we're in the area. Service: Dine-in."

"I really struggle to understand how this restaurant has good reviews. We are staying in Keokuk for the week, and our hotel has numerous ads promoting this place, claiming that they deliver to the hotel. However, when we called to place an order, the hostess rudely informed us that she has worked there for over a year and had never heard of the restaurant delivering to anyone. Accepting this, we decided to try another place that would deliver. Later, since we needed to run some errands and had our dogs with us, we figured we’d give Dr. Getwell's another shot and order takeout. I called them again, hoping to place a to-go order as their ads suggest. Unfortunately, yet again, I was told that they were too busy to handle takeout orders and that unless we sat down to eat there, they couldn’t assist us. I understand that restaurants can get busy and that hotel advertisements might be outdated, but if your marketing materials boast about being rated the best in various food categories and claim to offer dine-in, carryout, and delivery, you need to make some adjustments. It would be better to either update the ads or refrain from making such grand claims when you’re unable to follow through."

"Decent place with friendly staff and lot of verity on their menu. The food I had was pretty average all around, but to be fair I didn?t try any steak! I do like that they have a bar to sit at and non-alcoholic beers available. I ordered the chickenalfredo pasta, and it was alright. It wasn?t the best alfredo sauce I?ve ever had, but for it being homemade it could definitelyuse some work or a little seasoning. The chicken was pretty average too; it could?ve been grilled a little more and seasoned,but it wasn?t terrible. I?d like to come back and have a steak some evening in the future!"

"At the first place, everything was fresh and of excellent quality—the vegetables were crisp, the potatoes were cooked perfectly, and the protein was fresh. The young man who took my order was attentive and prepared my meal exactly as I requested. It truly looked and tasted like it was made with care! If I want Subway in the future, I will definitely return to this particular location.
