"The portion sizes have me puzzled. I've been ordering from here regularly, usually getting the same items, for about a month now, particularly their bento. The last time, the spicy pork portion was very small and lacked any vegetables. Today, the spicy pork was a bit better, but still not what it used to be, and there were hardly any vegetables. The California bibimbap has shrunk to about one-third of its original size. On a positive note, the croffle was phenomenal. Even though it arrived cold, it was still incredibly delicious. I would definitely recommend the croffle to everyone."

kimbap was amazing, my tea arrived broken and without a safety seal.

The mixed vegetables weren't available again, but I have to say, the BABO BOBA Steel Chopsticks with Box are really impressive!

BABO MILK TEA is slightly misleading, DOES NOT INCLUDE BOBA. First time ordering this, they gave me a completely different drink. Very disappointed to say the least.

I ordered the Dalgona Milk Tea with 50% sweetness and less ice, and I found it to be a bit too sweet for my taste. However, if you enjoy sweet drinks, I definitely recommend giving it a try! The location of the store is a bit tricky to find, but the staff was friendly! This was my first visit to Babo Boba, and I plan to sample a few more drinks before forming a final opinion. "Dear Gyu-kaku, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent visit to Gyu-kaku on October 7 at 8:00pm. While I have had positive experiences at your restaurant in the past, this particular visit left me extremely dissatisfied. Upon entering the restaurant, I was seated at a table that was clearly inadequate for my party's needs. We had made a reservation for 10 people, but the table provided could only accommodate 8. This immediately set the tone for our experience. To make matters worse, a waitress (not my main waitress) rushed us through the meal. She told us to put food to our places so she can have spaces to put more trays of meat. However, this is BBQ and the food just arrived within 5 mins. The meat hasn't even done yet to be edible. I asked her to set the trays at another table and we can grab them when we're done with our current plates. She said she couldn't do that and we must divide the food now so she could have spaces to set more trays. It was very reasonable to rush your customers through the meal. We're paying for our dinings. Gyu-kaku is a place to enjoy high quality Japenese food, and the service should uphold the standards of its high quality, not this rude and unprofessionalism. I value the dining experiences I have had at Gyu-kaku in the past, which is why I am particularly disappointed by this recent visit. I believe that the issues I have outlined above do not align with the high standards I have come to expect from your establishment."

"They recently changed their hours, so now they only stay open until 8 PM. This is quite strange, especially since it's summer, the movie theater in El Paseo is much busier following the closure of the AMC theater in Vallco, and it’s not even dark yet at that time. I really think they’re missing out on a lot of potential business. Additionally, they've added a code to the bathroom door, which makes me wonder if they were having issues with non-customers using it previously. It’s hard to say. What I do know is that during my brief visit, everyone who was given the code had difficulty opening the door because it included a special character at the end of a long string of numbers that nobody could remember. On a brighter note, they serve delicious coffee and pastries, and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. The strawberry pop tart had a lovely pastry crust that seemed to have been brushed with egg white to give it a nice sheen. The filling tasted *exactly* like Smucker's strawberry jelly… In fact, I suspect it might have actually been Smucker's! Whether that’s a good or bad thing is up to personal taste. However, I found it odd that while they offer several unusual ingredients for unique drinks, like turmeric and ginger for golden drinks, their selection of more standard flavored syrups is extremely limited. There’s no raspberry, no strawberry, and no other berry flavors—just chocolate, honey, coconut, and of course, turmeric. Their golden drinks have more of a winter flavor profile anyway, which is probably why they’re not currently on the menu. They have no specials at the moment (though they mentioned they can still make the turmeric drinks), zero fruit flavors, and a very limited selection of syrups. Come on, guys! Don’t rest on your laurels. What are you doing to stay competitive? Be sure to grab your turmeric latte before 8 PM!"
