"Take the historic Deer Lodge, for example; he bought it over ten years ago, and it still hasn't reopened. The Holly Inn, now renamed Mountain Creek Tavern—which shouldn't have had its name changed—was purchased almost three years ago and remains closed. It's truly disheartening that such beautiful historic buildings are bought by someone who seems to disregard their value. These are just a few of the places he has purchased and allowed to deteriorate. There are many more in the Mt. Holly and Boiling Springs areas. It's frustrating to witness these wonderful buildings fade away with time, taking with them exceptional restaurants and inns that should be thriving. We're losing pieces of history to a greedy individual who lacks any sense of responsibility. He needs to be held accountable."

I heard about this restaurant often since the move into the opposite. Maybe my expectations were too high at all Rave reviews. it wasn't bad, but it was.

Great range of menu options and better preparation and flavours than standard fare. Interesting heritage building adjoining the spring and adjacent to Children's Lake. Voir le carte

We always have a great time here. Visiting this rustic tavern is like stepping back in time aesthetically with food that rivals any area restaurant in both traditional and modern dishes. We always recommend sitting in the bar area where everyone talks to each other and makes you feel like part of the community.

Our group enjoyed the Halibut, Sea bass and the veal. They were all done perfectly and came with a salad and fresh rolls (something that is sorely lacking in most restaurants). The drinks were excellent, with a large wine and beer selection. Themartinis were very well crafted. Top notch service. I will definitely be back.

The food was delicious. Very relaxing experience. Had reservations but arrived earlier than expected and they were able to immediately accommodate us. Was about an hour and a half from the time we were seated until the bill. Not sure if it's alwayslike this but we were fine with it due to celebrating our anniversary. Will be back again. I’m really sorry to learn that they’ve closed down. It seems like another casualty of COVID-19. The change in ownership a few years back was a much-needed reset, and it quickly became one of our favorite dining spots. My heart goes out to the owners; they seemed like genuinely nice people! I hope someone else will step in and buy this wonderful tavern so it can reopen!

Beautiful location with plenty of parking. Making a reservation would be good, but not necessary. The aviance of the resturant and bar are exceptional. The have a hand out letting you know about the place and the town highlights. Food is superb for whereis it located with a small but excellent section to fit anyones food preference. Wonder wine selection for your lunch or dinnerchoice. Pricing is around per plate which is expected for this type of dining experience.

"I'm giving this place of three because of the nice waiter and the location is nice. I also only tried the Mexican food so I don't know what the other food tastes like. When I went at lunch there was a lot of retired people eating there. I drove out of the way to try this place because I was told by people they had good authentic Mexican food. I'm assuming it's people that have never been outside of the area. I was disappointed with the food and the prices for what I received if the food had been authentic the prices would have been worth it. But everything was flavorless and watered down I'm not sure if it was done because most of the guests are primarily elderly from what I saw today. They didn't even have authentic Mexican hot sauce or cheeses on my flautas. The chips were cold they tasted a little stale and the salsa was tasteless and like a tomato puree. It's very Americanized and if that's what you like you'll probably like this place. But for me it wasn't what I was expecting. Better to travel to other places and get Mexican food in the area. I hope they read these reviews because they are Mexican family and I'm sure that they can make better food and if they've watered it down for the area in the population that they're getting I think that's the wrong thing to do. I think they would be better and busier if they had authentic Mexican food at this location. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
