"We have eaten here several times and was always very satisfied!! This time not at all! Terrible service, starting with the man at the plates. Walking up we were not greeted at all, then asked ‘can I help you?’ An odd question for someone that was in charge of the plates. I am not a big eater, however, 1 small spoon of potatoes, tiny pieces of crab claws cut in half was not worth anywhere near 40. The prime rib was served by a nice man and a decent size of meat, however, the entire piece of meat was on the very rare side. Desserts were good and a nice lady served them. The waiter at our table and others we saw were maybe relatives of employees? No restaurant experience or conversation at all!! Save your money next year or go elsewhere !! I rarely write comments about meals, I felt the need to let others know of this experience."

Stay at The Lodge, eat at The Lodge too. Rustic quaint, like being at home away from home.

We loved the Mothers Day Brunch. We were very happy they seated us in a larger table by the music. It made it much more fun!

very young staff, no mgr in service to ensure customer experience. they never have a copy of our reception. server was polite, but not incredibly attentive. we went early in the meal, as too many people came for our comfort, just got vaccinated. eating was average, pleasant lodge.

5 of us ordered 5 different entrees for dinner. everyone loved their meal. the meat was cooked just like any person. the chicken and pork dishes were tasteful and delicious. the garnels were tender and not overcooked the spatula was perfectly cooked. we also shared two desserts that were delicious. our server miguel was friendly and helpful. I recommend this restaurant.

We shared crab cakes and the prime rib. Crab cakes were not my favorite. I prefer the simpler the better when the crab is unadulterated. The prime rib and asparagus were fantastic. Our guests shared the meatless Shepard’s Pie and they were pleased. The casita is first come, first served and our 5:15 reservation was perfect! Our waiter was excellent! The chocolate birthday cake was appreciated. Voir le carte

The staff was quite young, and there was no manager present to oversee the customer experience. We didn’t receive a copy of our receipt. While our server was polite, they weren't very attentive. We ended up leaving early in our meal because the restaurant became too crowded for our comfort level, especially since we had just been vaccinated. The food was average, but the lodge had a nice atmosphere.

Five of us ordered five different entrees for dinner, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The meat was cooked precisely to each person's request. The chicken and pork dishes were flavorful and delicious, while the shrimp was tender and perfectly cooked. The asparagus was cooked just right. We also shared two desserts, both of which were delightful. Our server, Miguel, was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

"ROBIN 'S RESTAURANT provides exquisite service, a delicious, eclectic menu, served in an inviting, restored adobe, California bungalow. Inside, our favorite table is number four, in front of the welcoming fireplace. Outside, anyplace in the English style garden, is lovely. Live music enhances the romantic garden. (Check Robin 's website for the schedule. On cool nights, heaters keep you toasty. A covered patio is located at the rear of the garden. Since serving its first meal in 1985, this quality eatery is described by locals as, One of Cambria 's best. Shanny Covey, Robin 's owner, offers an international menu for most everyone, and that includes vegans and the gluten free. Robins moved to its present location in 1990. This is a middle range restaurant, dinner meals are priced $20 to $40. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. A glass or cup never stays empty for long. Robin 's Chef, Shaun Behrens, will do everything possible to meet your dietary requirements. The menu is refreshed a few times a year. The extensive wine and beer selections contain many locally produced beverages. The menu usually emulates the flavors of Mexico, Thailand, and/or India. Their entrees includes: beef, lamb, fish, and fowl. Tell the waiter the way you like your meal cooked. And, yes, you can still get a good, honest, American steak. According to our friends and my wife the flavors are wonderful. Chris, our waiter, is charming and knowledgeable. Anthony kept our glasses full, covered when Chris was serving other tables, and asked permission before clearing the table. Jasper, Robbins ' barista, created a deliciously dry cappuccino and a wonderfully flavorful, double espresso. He delivered both to our table. Fine service and a delicious eclectic menu make Robin 's a great eatery. From the viewpoint of this vegan Appetizers: I usually order the crispy Vietnamese spring rolls with kimchi, and a spicy chili sauce. The spring rolls are mild, but covered with kimchi, and dipped into the chili sauce you 'll feel the burn. Then again, the amazingly crispy, shaved brussel sprouts, stir fried with walnuts and raisins, then topped with radishes and vinegarette dressing is an excellent alternative. For vegans, the chef leaves off the cheese. There is usually a vegan soup on the menu. The vegan entrees include: Cauliflower Tempura, Enchilada plate, and Robin 's Chow. All are skillfully presented, delicious, and for vegan dishes, quite filling. The vegan meals tend to be on the spicy side, but can usually be prepared as mild as you like. Desserts: There 's an excellent house baked carrot cake. The ample serving can be split. But, don 't miss the vegan sundae, with house made ice cream and a chocolate sauce that is not to be believed. ² STUFF: RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST. A children 's menu is available. Park in the free lot, on the east (right side of the building, just across the street. The eatery is mostly wheelchair accessible. Robin 's garden is dog friendly. My wife, myself, and our friends, will visit Robin 's again, in September. After 20 years, because of quality and consistency, Robin 's is my favorite restaurant.
