Excellent atmosphere and very friendly service. The tuna special along with their traditional lobster roll were exceptional. **** Mary's to start while we waited were also supurb. Great spot for lunch on a nice day!!

Food and service were (mostly) good. Plastic cutlery. Maybe there 's a reason for this but it 's a major turnoff. I didn 't appreciate the secret up charge on the cocktail. Ordered a G&T and they used premium liquor without asking for an extra $4 charge. Kind of spoiled an otherwise nice visit. Voir le carte

the food all around was amazing! the view is spectacular. I am thankful we were referred this restaurant and every time we visit the Hamptons it will be our 1st stop. I can taste those wings and lobster roll as I type this review. The drinks were amazing too. The spicy tequilla drink (can't remember the name they had for it) was on point.

No reservations so get there right when they open or be prepared to wait as it fills quickly. Amazing view of the marina, great menu, and great service. Came here with a group of 4 based on other Yelp wife recommendations and was glad we did. The hostess was a tad abrasive, but all of the waitresses were great. Max 2 credit cards for splitting the bill.

We came here unplanned and turns out to be a very lucky find! Highly recommend those planning a day trip to Montauk from the west to stop by as your lunch stop. We had the Lobster Rolls (the smaller option is enough for two! and clam chowder, and the Little Neck Clam. All were in the Excellent ranking. The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. Went in for a girls late lunch, we started off with three cocktails, two specialties (tea thyme which is a perfect elegant spiked tea with Earl Grey local honey and lemon and a classic (G&Q . As an appetizer we got the clam fritters which were hot fresh and delicious!! The entrees ordered were the fried chicken sandwich, pulled pork sandwich (important to mention that this is a special and they might not always have it and a grilled chicken pesto sandwich. Open and ready for the 2019 season, the Canal Cafe offers you a great chance to enjoy waterfront dining inside or out. There is a casual atmosphere here and in summertime you can a front row seat for boat watching on the Shinnecock Canal. Nightly specials are always the first place to check and then you have a delightful array of soups and chowders, oysters and shrimp appetizers just to name a few. I had an extremely disappointing experience at Canal Cafe today at around 4:30pm that I feel needs to be addressed. My family and I came in hoping for a nice couple drinks and some bites to eat but unfortunately, the service was appalling. Our waitress, with the blonde hair, was not only rude but seemed completely uninterested in providing any kind of hospitality. From the moment we walked in, she gave us nothing but attitude and appeared irritated that we were even there. She had blonde hair. It wasn 't even a busy time, so there was no excuse for the lack of attention and professionalism.
