"My wife and I decided to make the drive from Erie based on recommendations from our son. Couldn 't have been happier with our experience. Our server, Kelly, was a delight: knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The food was incredible, from the fried green tomatoes appetizer to my steak (the baseball, a perfectly done medium filet to my wife 's pork chops. The menu was a la carte, and we both ordered baked potatoes (actual restaurant-sized! and the asparagus (seasoned and prepared perfectly . Oh, and the Cajun gumbo! Just a little spicy but not overbearing. Could 've made a full meal of just the gumbo and fried green tomatoes! Sooooo good. The owner made his rounds asking if we were enjoying our meal, something you don 't see very often nowadays, and we assured him everything was perfect. Definitely worth the drive, and we 'll be heading back again soon."

Love Cannon’s! I have family in Meadville so it’s always a perfect spot for us to meet. Fantastic menu and always great service.

I enjoyed a delicious ribeye with mushrooms. Although the steak was slightly overcooked, the marbling in the meat compensated for it. Overall, I would definitely return. Voir le carte

I stopped by for a quick lunch and had the fried green tomatoes along with a house salad. Both dishes were fantastic! This was my first visit to the new location. Although I stayed in the bar and entrance area, it looked really nice from what I could see.

Wife and I stumbled across the Chophouse. The atmosphere is great, the food is amazing and the staff are truly the best! The Fried Green Tomatoes were cooked perfect, the Chicken Fried Steak was the best I have ever had, and my Wife loved the Butterfly Shrimp.

The ambiance was great. They had seating both outside and in a covered open air space. Food was good, service was friendly. Prices were fair. No complaints. Vibe was casual. Parking was a bit difficult but we were told we could park at the post office parking lot after 5pm Voir le carte

Awful. Our waiter Clayton was rude and sarcastic about our gluten allergy. Also the grilled chicken we got was UNDERCOOKED and the chicken on our salad was gray and undercooked. I will not be back ever. Also there was bugs in the transition seating. Absolutely not what is used to be.

I visited this restaurant while on a trip from Arizona and had the pleasure of reconnecting with some family. The experience was fantastic, enhanced by the amazing food and inviting atmosphere! We enjoyed fried green tomatoes, popcorn shrimp, ribs, and crème brûlée. The portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted exceptional. The staff were also very attentive. Kudos to this hidden gem! We will definitely be returning!

"I feel so bad even leaving this review, and I want to preface this by saying that it is not the fault of the waitstaff. There seemed to be a shortage of kitchen staff. We wanted to try a new restaurant in the area and took my parents out for their 40th anniversary. We had a reservation for 6:00 pm and we were seated promptly. We had a group of 5 that ordered a few appetizers, two burgers with fries, and 2 entrees. It took about 45 minutes for appetizers (deep fried basic food including wings and onion rings) to come out to the table. After being seated at 6 we waited until about 7:40 for entrees to come out. It came out plate by plate, but had to ask for silverware and waited about 25 minutes to see the waitress/the bartender to get it. By the time we got to eat the food, some was cold, but the food that had just come out was hot. Overall, the food tasted fine nothing spectacular, but certainly not bad. Some parts of the order were a little wrong, no big deal. The waitress apologized multiple times, and on a $135 bill, they did discount it by $22, but truly, it should have been comped to a greater degree. Multiple patrons walked out because it took so long. We were one of 2 or 3 tables that stayed, although, I wish we had not to be honest. It takes the cake as the worst dining experience I have had thus far in my life, but I am glad we were surrounded by the company of family, and I am glad that the staff was kind."

"Of all the sub shops in the area, this is my favorite. The people who work here are helpful. The first time I went here a few years back, I customized a sub for my guy and he was floored with the amount of meat that was on it. The subs are already huge, so add a few more meats and this was a SUB!! I don't get to visit Meadville as frequently as I used to so it's been a while. I walked in and was greeted by the same outstanding customer service and pleasantly surprised that they had bubble tea, which was customizable and delicious (there was a decaf option with lemonade instead of black tea). My husband LOVED his sub (bacon club). I took a risk and ordered the lobster roll on brioche--the bun looked and tasted great. I ended up passing on the lobster because it wasn't the color that I am accustomed to from lobster (light pink instead of white). Definitely not a maine lobster roll or like the ones in NC. This was my error because when I saw the lobster being scooped out, right then I should have changed my order and kept that amazing brioche bun with other veggies. I'll definitely return because the food is really good and the portions are immense and the brioche is calling to me. The food also travels well without getting soggy. Service is expedient and the people are helpful. Side note--you may get two meals out of one sub. Deducted one star because of the lobster since I tried it and it tasted off; threw it away. I'm picky so there is that. The Whole Darn Thing is the best sandwich shop in the area!!! Stop and grab one to eat that day or into the next one because they keep well and taste just as good the next day!!"
