"We were visiting Effingham and were recommended this place. We absolutely loved it! I ordered the firehouse burger, waffles, and banana cake, while my friend had roasted chicken, potatoes, green beans, and apple cake. Everything was delicious! The staff were lovely, the service was excellent, and the food was fantastic! We live about two hours away, but we would definitely come back just to eat here!"

"When my husband and I lived in Effingham we ate at Joe's at least once a week. We were obsessed with the deliciousness of their Italian sub. We've been away from the area for nearly a decade and in all that time have failed to find a sub that compares. We took work off yesterday just so that we could get to Joe's for lunch on our way down to southern Illinois this weekend and taste those subs again. I was pleasantly surprised that they were even better than I remembered. I was even more surprised at how much I had forgotten about how incredibly delicious their pizza is. Our daughter who got to visit Joe's for the very first time yesterday enjoyed a kids pepperoni pizza and became an instant Joe's fan! I honestly don't know where I can get a more delicious thin crust pizza. My only complaint is that they are not open for lunch on a Saturday!"

"Thank you, Gopher’s Grill, for hosting an incredible birthday party for my 9-year-old! The upstairs party room is spacious and impressive, providing plenty of room for our large group. The kids had a blast with the arcade games, and the Toss and Ping Pong bag was a fantastic addition. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, and the food was delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this venue for birthday celebrations. My daughter said it was “the best birthday party EVER!” "

"L'hôtesse ne savait pas comment confirmer la réservation m'a dit que le système était cassé, puis a dit que le restaurant était sous une nouvelle gestion et qu'ils ne lui ont rien dit. C'était après qu'elle m'ait dit que ce serait une attente de 40 minutes et que j'étais entouré de tables vides. Le directeur est finalement venu nous a assis et notre serveur était génial! J'ai arrêté une autre jeune femme en sortant et lui ai dit que je voulais confirmer que ma réservation avait été confirmée avec une table ouverte et elle l'a vue immédiatement et s'en est occupée. L'hôtesse doit être formée ou lâchée. Elle était probablement juste prête à partir et a dû rester à cause des 3 employés qui sont arrivés tous ensemble en retard."
