"We went to Checkers for breakfast and we had an omelet made to order, pancakes, and a skillet. The food was very tasty and plentiful. We were all extremely satisfied with the food and the service, and we came back for lunch a few days later. We had a burger, another skillet and pancakes, an apple French toast, and a Nutella crepe. Everything was again beyond our expectations. The place is super clean and very kid friendly. We are going to be regulars."

Checkers is a FANTASTIC little diner. Every time I go see my Mom we always go get brunch at Checkers. The wait staff is always friendly and I never have to ask for a coffee refill! I highly recommend them!

This is one of mine and my family's favorite place for breakfast/lunch. The atmosphere around here is so friendly and every time we come in through the door we are greeted with a smile. We absolutely love the food it is so delicious. This is one of the finest places in Schaumburg. Voir le carte

My fave breakfast place by far!! All my favorite people are there!!! Management is amazing, the staff is friendly and the food is fresh and yummy!! Trust me, I'm usually there at least a few days a week. There have been many weeks where I have been in everyday!! My boys love it too!! It's a win win in my book!!

Food was pretty solid, felt like the portion size could be a little bigger but good food. What was impressive was the hispanic man wearing the bears mask- all star employee! These are the type of people you want working for you — refilling water and coffee, greeting customers and getting the tables ready, give the man a raise

"I came here on a Tuesday evening with only a few other patrons. The service was quick very friendly. I ordered a Polish lager that they had on tap along with a bowl of their chicken soup. All was served quickly with a smile. The soup was very hot and tasty, came with some sliced fresh bread a garlic butter. I went with the Polish Platter that featured a little of everything. Kielbasa, pierrogies, stuffed cabbage with mushroom gravy, potato pancakes, and a side of sauerkraut. All was delicious the servings were plenty. I strongly recommend visiting this restaurant if you want some authentic Polish food served with a smile."

"I made a reservation in advance but still had to wait 30 minutes for a table after arriving. The host was very rude during this time. The music was so loud, reminiscent of a nightclub, that it was hard to have a conversation. The food was decent, but I don’t think I'll be returning."

"Nous sommes venus pour l'anniversaire de mon petit ami. C'était extrêmement décevant. La nourriture était horrible et trop chère. La sélection était également limitée. La salade césar était terrible et pleine de la laitue jaune glaciale qui la rendait amère. Je n'avais pas été au restaurant depuis des années et il a considérablement baissé. Je parlais à une connaissance et il avait le même avis. Le service était correct mais lent. En fait, le busboy a oublié de donner de l'eau à l'un de nous et quand nous l'avons demandé, il s'est disputé avec nous et a dit qu'il l'avait donné."

"As for the food, it lives up to its reputation for being delicious and flavorful. Portions are generous and easily shareable between two or even three people, depending on your order. We typically opt for the omelet or Eggs Benedict with grits, accompanied by a side of pancakes. We usually get a stack of two, which are quite thick. They can be tricky to cook—easily over or under done—but ours were cooked perfectly. The kids' meals come with one or two eggs, silver dollar pancakes, and a choice of sausage links or bacon. I do have a couple of minor notes: my wife requested a regular latte, but they only offered a vanilla-flavored option, which was disappointing. Plus, for the pancakes, I simply wanted regular syrup, but they only had maple or sugar-free varieties. It’s a little odd! Also, their coffee mugs are quite thick, which is something I noticed. Overall, there’s nothing that would prevent me from returning. The prices are reasonable, and there’s a wide variety of food options."
